Week 5 Awards

Week 5 awards are here and let's see who's getting honored for their week 5 achievements (or lack thereof)

The Wayne McGarrity Studs of the Week
 BenJarvus Green-Ellis (RuggedRaymont Harris)
Adrian Peterson (Dr. Wily's Robots)

Yes it's another week where I felt two people really deserved the Stud of the Week Award. After winning the bust of the week last week, Adrian Peterson FINALLY has that kind of game that makes you happy you had the # 1 or #2 pick in your fantasy draft, the scary thing? It actually could've been MUCH better. Peterson had 3 TD's in the 1ST QUARTER.  Definitely helped contribute the blowout win for Matt. Benjarvus Green-Ellis was a throw-in in the Greg Jennings trade and I had no one else to play, so I had to use him and boy was he CLUTCH. 130+ rushing yards and two TD's against the New York Jets. His reward?? I flipped him in a trade for Vernon Davis, nevertheless he still deserves his due in helping me win week 5.

Michael Wiley Busts of the Week
Larry Fitzgerald (Take Dat Wit Chu)
Darren McFadden (Da Boyz)

Both guys definitely deserved the bust of the week for their non-impactful performances. In a matchup where you only lose by 4, Cindy really needed Darren McFadden to deliver his usual goods against the Houston Texans. Unfortunately for her, he didn't and only scored 6 points. Fitzgerald was a disappointment too with only 6 points. Those might be good points for a 3rd WR, but for your #1 WR that's very disappointing. Would Kenny have beaten Matt with a better Fitz performance? Probably not, but still, your elite stars have to put up big numbers regardless and Fitzgerald and McFadden both came up way short.

Drew Bennett  Sneaky Surprise Award
Victor Cruz (The_Twin_Killers)
He was supposed to be a one week wonder. After a nice showing two weeks ago, all was assured that Mario Manningham would regain his #2 WR position and that Victor Cruz would be relegated to the #3 and forgotten about. Leland didn't have really other receiver to go to, with his other receivers on byes, so he had to take a gamble and start Victor Cruz regardless of what anyone was saying. And it's a gamble that payed off handsomely. 161 yards receiving (including an unbelievable catch) 1 TD and if you nitpick he did fumble, but still, what a great performance from a guy who was supposed to be one and done.

Tony Romo Bad Decision Award
Cindy Playing Robert Meachem over Pierre Garcon

With Andre Johnson out, Cindy had to make a decision to play either Robert Meachem or Pierre Garcon. Garcon was coming of a nice two TD game with Curtis Painter at the helm while Meachem hadn't really done much in a while. Not only that, but with Marques Colston fully healthy, it becomes very crowded for targets for the Saints. Unfortunately Cindy chose Meachem and while Pierre Garcon had 2 tds and over 120 yards receiving, Meachem had 38 yards and nothing else. When you only lose by 4 pts, this is a decision that literally cost Cindy a win.
