Week 4 Awards

I think it's obvious who's winning this week's Wayne McGarrity Stud of the Week award but without further ado...

Wayne McGarrity Stud of the Week Award- Aaron Rodgers (Take Dat Wit Chu)

Well this would've been much sweeter had Kenny actually won this week, but nonetheless you cannot deny that Aaron Rodgers DESERVES this award as he might have put up the fantasy line of the YEAR, much less week. In fact it was becuase of Rodgers, that Kenny was even in contention to win this past week.  400 yards passing, 4 passing TD's, 2 rushing TD's and one lonely INT (that was more James Jones fault, than Rodgers, damn him). A whopping 46 points in standard league scoring. 3 points off Michael Vick's Washington Massacre of last year. Aaron Rodgers puts up monster stats so often, we just expect it and usually gloss over the fact when picking out awards, but even this performance was just too awesome to ignore.

Michael Wiley Dud of the Week Award- Adrian Peterson (Dr. Wily's Robots)

When you're in a brutal fight against your opponent, you need your big dogs to step up and dominate accordingly. Everything was in place for that to happen for Adrian Peterson, the matchup against the lowly Chiefs and the horrible play of QB Donovan McNabb, this was Peterson's game to OWN. So what he do? 164 and 3 scores?? 210 and 2 scores?? How bout 80 yards.....yeah, that's it.....80 yards and nothing else (ok 3 receiving yards). When you lose by 7 and your #1 overall pick can't even get double digits against a soft Defense, you unfortunately get stuck with the dud of the week award.

Tony Romo Bad Decision Award-Kenny Bybee playing Tampa Bay Defense over Baltimore
Ah yes, and the main reason Kenny Bybee didn't finish his miracle comeback. Sometimes as fantasy owners, we overthink a little too much to secure a win. Hell, I am as guilty as that more than anyone, I never think the grass is greener on my side, I'm always looking outside for a sneaky play ,even though what I have on my roster is probably better. This was the case with Kenny's crucial mistake of not trusting his original defense and spot starting Tampa. To be fair, it looked real good on paper. Curtis Painter (making his first NFL start) and the struggling Colts offense against the Bucs on the Road??? Sign me up for that one. In fact, I contemplated the exact same move before sticking with Chicago (I would have lost too, using them). Kenny found temptation too much and made "The Switch" and boy did it backfire. Instead of trusting the Ravens could stop Mark Sanchez and the Jets, he watched Baltimore score 3 defensive TD's en route to scoring 32 points. Had Kenny made that play, not only would he have won, he would've blown Albert out. Instead he watched a pretty pedestrian performance as the Colts still managed to put up 17 points, and the Bucs as a team scored a measly 7 points, and Kenny lost by one freaking point.

No one really played anyone too shocking so there is no Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award.
