Week 2 Matchups and Predictions

Week 1 has come and gone and it's time for the Week 2 preview. Let's take a look at this week's matchups and predictions.

Salt & Vinegar Chips (1-0) vs
RuggedRaymontHarris (0-1)

Overview: Well, Mike took care of my dad last week, now he takes me on. Tom Brady has yet another juicy matchup and should put up some nice points, Greg Jennings and Malcolm Floyd also could provide some punch. Posey has Michael Turner going in the Sunday night matchup against Philly, and while BenJarvus Green-Ellis did score a TD last week, it's definitely a weak play at the RB #2. Antonio Gates at TE is scary and should have a nice game against the Pats. On my side, Romo has a great matchup but if  Dez Bryant doesn't play that could be a blow, as Romo loses one of his weapons. Roddy White has yet another tough matchup and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets locked down again. V-Jax has a great matchups but he had better one last week and didn't do crap, so who knows with him. I'm also taking a risk at WR #3 with Hines Ward. Like the matchup against  Seattle, but the question is will the Steelers have to throw much or will it be a run heavy game? McCoy gets the Sunday nighter against Atlanta and I'm hoping he'll come ready to play like last week. I'm always skeptical about Ahmad Bradshaw, but I think he'll be fine against the Rams on Monday night. This week, I'm using Jermaine Greshem at my TE, not expecting much there. I really don't like my overall matchups and wouldn't be surprised to fall to 0-2.

Yahoo Says: Posey wins 93-91
I say: Posey wins. I think the Brady/Jennings/Gates/Turner combo is gonna provide some major firepower, and I'm afraid a crappy Roddy White performance and a marginal Romo performance won't be enough even if McCoy goes off again.

Take Dat Wit Chu (1-0) vs
The_Twin_Killers (1-0)

Overview: The matchup of the week. Both guys are undefeated and both guys have great teams. For Leeland though, the question is the health of Hakeem Nicks. If he loses Nicks, that's a huge blow and it's even worse since it's a Monday night game. Mario Manningham would have to pick up the slack big time, because Lee Evans is as inconsistent of a fantasy player as can be. What he lacks in receivers he'll make up with RB's as Matt Forte and Ray Rice are a lethal combination with great matchups this week. Gronkowski could be a sleeper for some nice points as Brady does love using those TE's. Also after Ryan Fitzpatrick dismantled the Chiefs, it's going to Matthew Stafford's turn so that's another great play for Leeland. On Kenny's side, the biggest question is the impact Peyton Hillis will have on his team. Expectations are high as he plays the horrible Colts and their even worse defense. The Cowboys should be able to execute the run game against the 49ers so Kenny should start Felix Jones with confidence. Fitz will look to make up for a mediocre week 1 against the Washington Redskins. Aaron Rodgers will probably do the usual as he takes on the Carolina Panthers. With Dez Bryant questionable, Miles Austin has a chance to be a HUGE factor, and while Deion Branch might be a wild card, Tony Gonzalez should be a nice play in the Sunday night game against Philly.

Yahoo Says: Kenny wins 91-90
I Say: Kenny wins, esepcially if Nicks doesn't play, but even if he does, I think Kenny wins what i expect to be a high scoring shootout.

Channel 4 News Team (0-1) vs
The Bad Bobofies (0-1)

Overview: The last matchup was the battle of the undefeateds, this will be the battle of the defeateds. Albert has all his handcuff rb's ready to deploy, but he might not need to use em as Arian Foster looks like a bet to play and even Steven Jackson hasn't been ruled out completely. Even if Steven Jackson is ruled out, Albert can just plug Cadillac Williams in. Things could be a disaster for Albert if he doesn't keep track of his team, as he needs to know if Dez Bryant is going to be active as well. If he screws up his RB's and WR's he'll be dead in the water again. Calvin Johnson gets a great matchup against the Chiefs and Albert's hoping Steve Smith isn't a one game wonder as he'll start him against the Packers D. Schaub was a major disappointment last game, but you have to start him after what Brady did Miami's D last week. Jermichael Finley could be set up for a big game and no way Pittsburgh's D repeats what they did last game against the Ravens. They'll be ready to shut down the horrible  Seahawks offense. For my dad, the matchups look rough for Drew Brees (Bears) and Chris Johnson (Ravens). Though I fully expect Brees to still put up some numbers, I'm worried for another low scoring out put from CJ. Dad is usually Nate Burleson as a sneaky WR #3 play. Desean Jackson and Jason Witten have excellent matchups and this week it's ok to go Brandon Jacobs against the Rams.

Yahoo Says: Dad wins 86-83
I Say: Albert Wins, if Foster plays I just think Albert has the better matchups, but if Albert ignores his team again, Dad could end up pulling out his first W.

Hoosier Daddy (1-0) vs
Dr. Wily's Robots (0-1)

Overview: Matt's gotta put that sickening loss to Cindy in the back of his mind, and focus on this week's match against Ryan.  If Matt's roster stays as it is, he's making some pretty risky moves playing Fred Jackson and Dustin Keller over Frank Gore and Dallas Clark. I don't think you can bench the 49ers major offensive weapon, but we'll see. Clark may have a crappy QB, but I still think you give him another chance. Phillp Rivers should be in a shootout with the Pats, and Adrian Peterson looks to have a more explosive week this time around. Brandon Marshall might have a good matchup against the new and improved Texans D. I don't like Britt vs the Ravens, but you cannot sit him especially since Matt has no WR depth really. Dwyane Bowe against the Lions should be ok, we'll see if Cassel can get Bowe the ball. Rashard Mendenhall looks to make up for last week and I'm seeing a huge game for him against the crappy Seahawks D. Mike Wallace should also have a good game but what might hamper him is if the  Steelers grind it out more with the run game. Flacco and Boldin probably won't repeat what they did last week, but still should be decent starters against the Titans. MJD has the Jets D, and that will be a very tough matchup. The Vikings secondary did a pretty good job containing V-Jax so Mike Williams might have problems. I think Jimmy Graham can have another game similar to what he had against the Packers.

Yahoo Says: Matt wins 97-89
I say: Matt wins, i think this week Matt does have the better matchups, and if the Fred Jackson for Gore move works, more power to him.

Da Boyz (1-0) vs
Shredders (0-1)

Overview: I honestly don't know what  Zach is doing. Trading his #2 RB for a #3 WR and creating a RB carousel with Tolbert, Woodhead, Benson, and Deangelo Williams. As of right now Zach as Jamaal Charles on his bench. He's rolling with Mike Tolbert and Danny Woodhead. Verrrrrrrry questionable decision there. Zach is banking on Jordy Nelson not being a one week wonder, and him, Maclin and Stevie Johnson all have good matchups. Vick is Vick, just start him and watch him pile up points. Aaron Hernandez is a wildcard as well.  Matt Ryan almost cost Cindy a victory, and this week will be tough as well ,so she's actually going with Jay Cutler which could prove to be the better play. Andre Johnson should be great, and Reggie Wayne at least gets a a chance to feast on the Cleveland D. Wes Welker, Cindy's hero, gets the Chargers and that should be ok. Darren McFadden ran all over  Denver and he'll get his chance against Buffalo now. The big thing is the Shonn Greene experiment. He was a bust week 1 and if he can't bust up Jacksonville's D, he's in trouble. I love the Packers D against Carolina, and Owen Daniels has chance to do some damage against Miami, after the Patriots tight ends destroyed them.

Yahoo Says: Cindy wins 91-87
I say: Cindy wins, wow yep, I'm thinking Cindy has the advantage and could be a shocking 2-0.
