Week 1 Awards are Here!

Every Week I'll give out 4 awards for the week. Three are player awards and one is a team/owner award. The Awards are as follows

The Wayne McGarrity Stud of the Week- Goes to who I think was the biggest impact player of the week. To win this, the player must have been used in that week's game (for example this week  Cam Newton wouldn't qualify because he was not owned by a team this week and wasn't used) Typically will also go to a winning team's player.

The Michael Wiley Dud of the Week- Goes to a player that had high expectations but failed to deliver. Typically going to be a superstar who had a bad game and typically will be on the losing team. Could also go to a player that an owner used as a sleeper that didn't pan out at all.

The Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award- Goes to an under the radar the player that someone started as a surprise. This award might not be used every week.

The Tony Romo Bad Decision Award- Goes to the owner who make the worst roster decision of the week.

Let's get it started shall we???

The Wayne McGarrity Stud of the Week- Tom Brady (Salt and Vinegar Chips)
This was Ray Rice's award all up to till Monday night. Rice decimated the Steelers D, but Brady's unbelievable performance will go down in the Monday Night Football history books as one of the greatest of all time. It also helped turned the tide for Posey to win his matchup against my dad. 500+ yards and 4 passing TD's will do that for ya.

Michael Wiley Dud of the Week- Chris Johnson (The Bad Bobofies)
From the same exact matchup. As the #2 pick you simply cannot score less than 5 points against a Defense that's not that great. I dunno why Johnson didn't get many carries, but this was a huge disappointment and big blow to my dad and his chances at winning week 1.

The Tony Romo Bad Decision of the Week- Albert playing Arian Foster when he ruled out of the game

Honorable Mentions go to Mike Posey playing an inactive Lance Moore and me not playing the Bears or Texans D and instead playing  Cleveland which basically cost me a win, but how could you NOT do anything about replacing Arian Foster in your lineup, even with just Ben Tate?? You absolutely cannot have 0 points with your #1 running back and this was simply out of character since Albert usually is on top of things with his teams.

There is no Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award this week. Everyone basically went with the status quo in regards to their starters.
