This Weeks Transactions: Kenny Gets Hillis in League's 1st Big Trade

We're only in week 2 and we've already had our first big trade of the season. It involves Kenny and Zach and here are the specifics.

Kenny Gets
 Peyton Hillis
Johnny Knox
Zach Gets
Deangelo Williams
Jordy Nelson
Jeremy Maclin
Overview-To me this trades makes zero sense for Zach as he traded a legit high end #2 RB/Low end #1 RB for basically a WR 3 in Maclin, A lowwwwww RB #2 in Deangelo and Jordy Nelson who's too inconsistent to be anything but a three at most. The most perplexing thing, is that now Zach has a stable of RB's who are the same. I dunno who he's gonna start out of Cedric Benson, Mike Tolbert, and Deangelo, but the odds are it'll never be Williams. Zach did need to upgrade his WR core, but he upgraded the weakest part of his lineup. Hillis should be worth more than Jeremy Maclin. Maclin is definitely better than Mike Thomas was, but still Stevie Johnson and Brandon Lloyd are better than Maclin. Meanwhile, Kenny gets a legit RB he can use the rest of the way and dumps Deangelo Williams before he gets even worse. Johnny Knox is a throw in and who knows if he'll even be on his team that long. Definitely advantage Kenny on this trade as I think Zach is selling Hillis wayyyyyyyy to short (especially cause this week is against the Colts).

Jermaine Greshem-TE

Hines Ward-WR

 Houston Texans Defense

Drops

 Mercedes Lewis-TE

 Braylon Edwards-WR

 Cleveland Browns D

Overview- I had to drop Cleveland's D, first things first, as they basically cost me a win in week 1. Hopefully karma doesn't bite me in the ass, cause I'm going with Houston this time for real, no going back on it. Mercedes Lewis is serviceable when he has a real QB, I just don't trust Luke McCown at this point, and I'm pretty sure I'll be rotating TE's on a weekly basis. This week I'll try out Jermaine Greshem of the Bengals. I am DESPERATE for a 3rd Wide Receiver and Braylon Edwards just won't cut it. I'm gonna go with the old vet Hines Ward this week, who has a good enough matchup against Seattle to make him a viable #3 receiver this week.

Deion Branch-WR

Devery Henderson-WR

Danny Amendola-WR

Drops

Donald Driver-WR

 Jonathan Stewart-RB

Overview- This is in addition to the trade that Kenny made. Kenny needed to find a replacement for trading Maclin, so he picked up three new WR's. It looks like he'll use Branch this week, but after that I don't see Branch or Henderson lasting long. Amendola, on the other hand, is a nice player to stash as he is hurt right now, but when he comes back, he'll probably become Kenny's permanent #3 WR. The Carolina Panther experiment is officially over as Kenny not only traded Deangelo Williams, but dropped Jonathan Stewart as well. I think Stewart is worth an add for those who lack RB Depth. Donald Driver is just another WR, who will toil in free agency for weeks to come.

Darren Sproles-RB

Drops

Hines Ward-WR

Overview- Posey needed RB Depth. Don't know if Sproles is the answer. He drops Hines Ward who instantly became my 3 WR.

Ben Tate-RB

Cadillac Williams-RB

Drops

Daniel Thomas-RB

Michael Crabtree-WR

Overview- In a case of better late than never, Albert picked up both handcuffs to his starting RB's. He actually might still have to roll with Cadillac Williams this week, but it looks like Tate won't be startable since Arian Foster looks to be playing  Sunday. Daniel Thomas has been awful and hurt so far and no 49er WR's are worth owning, so Albert didn't lose much at all in his drops.

Adds

Danny Woodhead-RB/WR

Mark Sanchez-QB

Drops

Mike Thomas-WR

Danny Amendola-WR

Matt Cassel-QB

Overview- This was in addition to the trade Zach made with Kenny. Cassel was horrible and probably is not worth a roster spot in a 10 team league, while  Zach probably thought Amendola was going to be out a while and  dropped him. Mike Thomas' stock really goes down with Luke McCown as the starting QB. Not sure if Woodhead is a viable fantasy starter in a 10 team league and Sanchez is better than Matt Cassel as a backup to Vick.

Adds

Cam Newton-QB

Robbie Gould-K

James Starks-RB

Drops

Dallas Cowboy Defense

Nate Kaeding-K

Peyton Manning-QB

Overview- Ryan didn't waste any time cutting ties with Peyton Manning. Cam Newton is an interesting add, we'll see how legit he really is throughout the season. Kaeding's out for the year so Ryan picks up Bears Kicker Robbie Gould. James Starks is a nice guy to stash on his bench and all he gave up was his 2nd string defense.

Adds

Dallas Cowboys Defense

Drops

Todd Heap-TE

Overview- Dad only made one move and it was to pick up Dallas' Defense and spot start them against the horrible 49ers. Todd Heap is not rosterable anyways, so no big loss.

The_Twin_Killers, Dr. Wily's Robots, and Da Boyz didn't make any moves.
