Week 3 Matchups and Predictions

Week 3 is here, and there are 3 matchups where it's an undefeated team versus a winless team. Should be very interesting to see where all this ends up after this week. Here are this week's matchups and predictions

Poseidon Angry (1-1) vs
The Twin Killers (1-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: I lead series 2-0
Last Matchup: I beat Leland 100-97 in the semifinals of the 2011 Playoffs

Key Players
Poseidon Angry- Calvin Johnson (vs Titans) Roddy White (vs Chargers) Reggie Wayne (vs Jacksonville) CJ Spiller (vs Browns)

The Twin Killers- Eli Manning (vs Panthers) Victor Cruz (vs Panthers) Julio Jones (vs Chargers) Ray Rice (vs Patriots)

Wildcards
Poseidon Angry- Steven Ridley against Ravens Defense, QB controversey Griffin vs Ryan, Gates Health, Arizona Defense against Eagles

The Twin Killers- Torrey Smith WR3, TE situation, Rookie Doug Martin's continued success

Predictions
Yahoo Says- I win 116-106
I Say- Leland wins, I'm gonna keep picking against myself until I feel comfortable with my team. My gut tells me just like last week, that Leland's projected score is too low. I expect Eli and Victor Cruz to have MONSTER games (especially now with Nicks out). If I play Matt Ryan, Julio Jones will negate some of my points. I'm worried about Ridley having a bad game against a good defense and also rolling with a wildcard defense in Arizona. I think my wildcards are too volatile, while Leland's guy seem to have better opportunities.

Breaking Bybee (0-2) vs
Dr. Wily's Robots (2-0)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Matt Leads Series 2-0
Last Matchup: Matt beat Kenny 132-104 in Week 5

Key Players
Dr. Wily's Robots- Michael Vick (vs Cardinals) A.J. Green (vs. Redskins) Arian Foster (vs Denver) Marshawn Lynch (vs Packers) Vernon Davis (vs Vikings)

Breaking Bybee- Tony Romo (Vs Bucs) Jordy Nelson (vs Seahawks) Miles Austin (vs Bucs) Brandon Lloyd Rob Gronkowski (vs Ravens) LeSean McCoy (vs Cardinals)

Wild Cards
Dr. Wily's Robots- Hakeem Nicks Replacement? Percy Harvin vs tough 49ers Defense
Breaking Bybee-Jamaal Charles Breakout?

Predictions
Yahoo Says- Kenny wins 114-110 (with Nicks in Lineup)
I say- Kenny wins, the huge thing is what Matt does about Nicks injury. His only replacement is Mike Williams. This is what I said was going to be a major concern for Matt and one of the drawbacks of autodrafting. Injuries are tough to overcome with little to no depth at the WR position. That might be enough to give Kenny the upper advantage to get his 1st win though he'll need some kind of production from Jamaal Charles.

The Bad Robofies (2-0-) vs
Chardee MacDennis (0-2)

No Matchup Stats

Key Players
The Bad Robofies- Cam Newton (vs Giants) DeMarco Murray (vs Bucs) Darren Sproles (vs Chiefs)
Chardee MacDennis- Matthew Stafford (vs Titans) Mike Wallace (vs Oakland)

Wild Cards
The Bad Robofies- WR production, Can Finley finally step it up?
Chardee MacDennis- Injury plagued RB's with tough matchups (Adrian Peterson against 49ers D, McFadden against Steelers D). Brent Celek adequate replacement for Hernandez? DeSean Jackson/Danny Amendola?

Predictions
Yahoo Says- Dad wins 110-100
I say- Dad wins. Darren McFadden hasn't been as spectacular as everyone thought he would be and now he faces the Steelers Defense. Adrian Peterson also has a tough matchup and he's not all the way 100% either. I think as long as Dad gets consistent WR production from Welker and Vincent Jackson (and whoever he goes with at the other receiver position) he should have a solid shot to stay undefeated with Cam and company.

Channel 4 News Team (1-1) vs
Richard Head (1-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Series Tied 1-1
Last Matchup: Albert won 86-76 in Week 5 of the 2011 season

Key Players
Channel 4 News Team- Tom Brady (vs Ravens) Brandon Marshall (vs Rams)  Demaryius Thomas (vs Texans) Trent Richardson (vs Bills) Jimmy Graham (vs Chiefs)

Richard Head- Aaron Rodgers (vs Seattle) Steve Smith (vs Giants) BenJarvus Green-Ellis (vs Redskins) Tony Gonzalez (vs Chargers)

Wild Cards
Channel 4 News Team- Encore performances from Bowe, Richardson, McGahee?

Richard Head- Is Dez Bryant a bust? Can Randy Moss still produce? RB situation shaky.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Albert wins 113-96
I Say: Albert wins, I think Albert pulls off a 2nd straight win this week. He guys seem to have the upper edge in favorable matchups and there's no telling who Posey's going at the RB position with Benjarvus Green-Ellis. Mike's WR have been erratic as well.

Bigger Balls (2-0) vs
Hoosier Daddy (0-2)

No Matchup Stats

Key Players
Bigger Balls- Drew Brees (vs Chiefs) Andre Johnson (vs Broncos) Marques Colston (vs Chiefs) Reggie Bush (vs Jets) Frank Gore (vs Vikings) Ryan Mathews (vs Falcons)

Hoosier Daddy- Peyton Manning (vs Texans) Larry Fitzgerald (vs Eagles) Jason Witten (vs Bucs)

Wild Cards
Bigger Balls- Will Mayra use Ryan Mathews? If so, who will he replace?

Hoosier Daddy- Running Back situation a mess. No Bradshaw, possibly no Greg Jennings. Can Chris Johnson have a decent game? Can Michael Turner be counted on?

Predicitons
Yahoo Says: Mayra wins 107-92 (assuming Ryan inserts Darius Heyward Bey into lineup)
I say: Mayra wins, yup there's a very solid chance Mayra stays undefeated as she's facing a mess of a team. Ryan's not going to have Ahmad Bradshaw, and it's also looking like Greg Jennings could be out as well. I'm not liking the Chris Johnson/Michael Turner combo. Ryan Mathews is going to play, but I'm not sure if Mayra will put him in. Gore and Bush have been great so far.
