Week 4 Awards/Thursday Night Overview

Last Night's Browns-Bills game was expected to be a low scoring snore fest that all fantasy teams should avoid....well it was far from it. The Browns won 37-24 and there was some fantasy goodness to spread around. Ah Leland...C.J. Spiller was a game time decision and against the supposed great Cleveland run D and with Spiller struggling Leland logically sat him. So of course he scores a 54 yards TD. Just can't catch a break. Even worse, Fred Jackson STILL out played him and scored two TD's of his own (nice start again for Mayra). This timeshare is here to stay. Also bad news for Ryan as Stevie Johnson did nothing of note (2 pts) before getting hurt and missing most of the game. Jordan Cameron is human by the way. He was held to only a couple of catches and scored 4.5 points. Willis McGahee was a pleasant surprise for Albert. He scored a TD and gave Albert 13 points. Finally, Josh Gordon made amends after dropping a would be long TD score, by scoring a TD later in the game and finishing with 16 points. That Gordon draft pick is paying off big time. Best flex option by far. Now onto the Week 4 awards!

Wane McGarity Stud Of The Week
Tony Gonzalez (Passion ofthe Puente)
12 catches, 149 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD's, 32 points
Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez (88) makes the catch against New England Patriots outside linebacker Jerod Mayo (51) during the first half of an NFL football game, Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, in Atlanta
Yep, the Old Man's still got it

Michael Wiley Dud Of The Week
Ray Rice (The Bad Robofies)
17 rushing yards, 1 point
NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills
He was healthy, the Ravens just totally abandoned the run for some stupid reason. These type of performances KILL any chance of winning for the week.

Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award
Jake Locker (Bigger Balls)
149 Passing Yards, 3 Passing TD's, 17 rushing yards, 18 points

AP source: Titans QB Locker staying in hospital

With Aaron Rodgers on bye, Mayra entered week 4 with only Josh Freeman as her backup QB. Freeman lost his job, so Mayra plucked Jake Locker off waivers for a, what I thought, was a very questionable spot start. It ended up working. Locker threw for 3 1st half TD's and unfortunately had his amazing day cut short because of a rib injury. Still, despite missing the entire 2nd half, Locker put up 18 points in helping Mayra secure her 2nd win.
