Week 10 Results

Another week down as we enter the home stretch of the regular season. There are basically 7 teams vying for those 6 spots, and all 7 teams are very close within each other. These next three weeks will be very crucial as every game counts for the race to the playoffs. Here are this past weeks results.

Take Dat Wit Chu (6-4)              138
RuggedRaymontHarris (6-4)       88

Overview: Annnnnnnnd yup, like I called in my prediction, Kenny just freaking OWNS me in fantasy. Doesn't matter what sport, I can never beat him. The week started shitty with 2 whole points from Vincent Jackson (yes, after his 31 pt outburst that was on my bench the previous week) but Ryan Mathews wasn't great either so I thought I had a shot.....WRONG. Every player went off for Kenny ,Fitzgerald against a "tough" (allegedly) Eagles Defense, had 141 and two scores, DeMarco Murray was  a BEAST again, as was LAURENT FUCKING ROBINSON who had two scores. Even Tony Gonzalez and Santonio Holmes had nice games..oh yeah let's not forget the final blow....AARON RODGERS..who does it with ease as again (4 td passes). Of my 4 losses, 3 of them are by 40 or more points. That is NOT GOOD, and I lose faith in my team even more as week passes by. I can't win when Ray Rice gets 5 TOTAL CARRIES (FUCK YOU CAM CAMERON) or when Romo's success also nets Laurent Robinson nice points. DeSean Jackson continues to be a piece of shit as he was deactivated before the game. I went with Antonio Brown, who didn't do that bad, but still 70 of his 80 yards were in the first half. Tight End, good god, do I HATE that position. It's an automatic 2 points or less EVERY WEEK. Fred Davis, Vernon Davis, Kellen Winslow, Mercedes Lewis, Jermaine Greshem, yup used em all, and all have disappointed. I really hate that I have to punt that position every week basically. The Eagles SHOULD'VE had a field day against the Cardinals, but the defense (that I used) let John Skelton go nuts and throw 3 TD's and basically did nothing with LeSean McCoy. I'm curse to receivers, cause every year I think I have the most talented receiving core and they always fall way short of expectations. The only receiver that's been good has been Greg Jennings and believe it or not MARIO MANNINGHAM. I'm in big time danger of not making the playoffs cause my schedule is very difficult. Who would've thought, Ray Rice, LeSean McCoy, Greg Jennings, and Tony Romo just isn't enough??? That's why fantasy football is played on the field and not on paper folks.

Key Players

Aaron Rodgers (Take Dat Wit Chu) 250 yards passing, 4 passing TD's, 21 rushing yards, 28 points

Larry Fitzgerald (Take Dat Wit Chu) 146 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD's, 26 points (against super scary Eagles Defense with John Skelton at QB)

Laurent Robinson (Take Dat Wit Chu) 73 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD's, 19 pts

DeMarco Murray (Take Dat Wit Chu) 135 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 36 receiving yards, 22 pts

Tony Romo (RuggedRaymontHarris) 270 yards passing, 3 passing TD's, 22 points

Disappointing Players

Vincent Jackson (RuggedRaymontHarris) 22 receiving yards, 2 points

Ray Rice (RuggedRaymontHarris) 27 rushing yards, 57 receiving yards, 1 passing TD, 11 points (only 5 carries)

Fred Davis (RuggedRaymontHarris) 28 receiving yards, 2 points

Ryan Mathews (Take Dat Wit Chu) 34 rushing yards, 23 receiving yards, 5 points

The Bad Robofies (6-4)           144
Salt &Vinegar Chips (3-7)       73

Overview: FINALLY my dad got that one game where everyone blows up! After 9 straight weeks of 90 points and under, my dad just went ballistic on Mike Posey and got a week high 144 points and from two of the most unlikely sources. Michael Bush and the Chicago Bears were just ON FIRE, and kudos for dad for picking the Bears defense over Dallas. The Bears had 36 points, and Michael Bush had 29 points. How bout Chris Johnson?? He FINALLY broke out of his super slump and had his best game of the season by far (130 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 44 receiving yards). If dad gets this Chris Johnson the rest of the way, he might be a darkhorse candidate to make some noise in the playoffs. Brandon Lloyd continues to pay off as does Victor Cruz. He did strike out with James Jones, but it didn't really matter. Jason Witten was also a disappointment with only 3 points, but all in all Dad's best performance by a mile. This loss basically pushes Mike out of playoff contention. Mike's guys just didn't click as only Matt Schaub and Robbie Gould provided any kind of scoring punch. Darren Sproles was terribly disappointing (1 rushing yard, 2 receiving yards) as was Steve Smith (33 yards). Gates was bla as well, as the kind of effort Mike's guys gave just isn't gonna be close to good enough to win. This breathes new life in to my dad's team, as he has a couple winnable games left on his schedule.

Key Players

Michael Bush (The Bad Robofies) 157 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 85 receiving yards, 29 points

Chris Johnson (The Bad Robofies) 130 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 44 receiving yards, 23 points

Drew Brees (The Bad Robofies) 322 passing yards, 2 passing TD's, 20 pts

Chicago Bears Defense (The Bad Robofies) 13 pts allowed, 2 sacks, 4 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 Defense TD's, 1 Return TD, 36 points

Matt Schaub (Salt & Vinegar Chips) 242 passing yards, 2 passing TD's, 1 rushing yard, 17 points

Disappointing Players

Steve Smith (Salt & Vinegar Chips) 33 receiving yards, 3 points

Darren Sproles (Salt & Vinegar Chips) 1 rushing yard

James Jones (The Bad Robofies) 9 receiving yards, 0 points

Jason Witten (The Bad Robofies) 37 receiving yards, 3 points

Channel 4 News Team (7-3)           104
Hoosier Daddy (7-3)                         94

Overview: Ryan made the most inexplicable move by starting LaGarrette Blount over Rashard Mendenhall and it cost him not only a victory but 1st place as well. Mendenhall had 18 points, and all 18 of those were on Ryan's bench while Blount stunk it up and had a measly 3. Bad and costly decision by Ryan, who's team just didn't have it this week. Cam Newton FINALLY had a rough game (no TD's) and his receiving core was pretty lackluster. MJD and Jimmy Graham showed up as usual, as did David Akers and the surprisingly Jacksonville D, but it wasn't enough to overcome Tom Brady and Arian Foster. Foster continues to score at will (84 on the ground and a score, 104 receiving and a score) and he more than makes up for weeks that maybe Calvin Johnson has a quiet game (81 and a fumble). Albert lost Julio Jones early to injury, but it wouldn't matter cause Dez picked up the slack (70 and a score). Steven Jackson continues to have an underrated fantasy season as he went over 120 again (he did fumble though). Ryan's schedule is still favorable, but still it's very brutal to lose a game where you know you could've won.

Key Players

Arian Foster (Channel 4 News Team) 84 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 102 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD, 30 points

Tom Brady (Channel 4 News Team) 329 passing yards, 3 passing TD's, 2 rushing yards, 25 points

Maurice Jones-Drew (Hoosier Daddy) 114 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 23 receiving yards, 19 points

Disappointing players

Cam Newton (Hoosier Daddy) 212 passing yards, 1 INT, 55 rushing yards, 12 points

LaGarrette Blount (Hoosier Daddy) 34 rushing yards, 3 points (played over Mendenhall)

Anquan Boldin (Hoosier Daddy) 22 receiving yards, 2 points

Julio Jones (Channel 4 News Team) 9 receiving yards, 0 points (left game with injury)

Calvin Johnson (Channel 4 News Team) 81 receiving yards, 1 fumble lost, 6 points

Dr. Wily's Robots (5-5)         67
Da Boyz (2-8)                         64

Overview: Ohhhhh dear Matt, did you ever escape with a narrow victory. Matt was thisclose to losing back to back games to the two worst teams in the league, but luck was on Matt's side and instead of facing a 4-6 record and a point of no return Matt is 5-5 and back in the thick of things. Two reasons why, one and probably the biggest and we could look back at this and it could be a turning point, is that Cindy decided to switch Matt Ryan with Matt Cassell inexplicably and the results were bad. Matt Ryan had a 21 point game while Cassel couldn't even muster up double digits. This play alone would have won  Cindy the week. Despite that, though Cindy still had a shot at winning and things were looking good for the  Packers Defense..until  Randall Cobb fumbled a punt return which gave the Vikings a short field and ended in a Adrian Peterson Touchdown. That one TD, was a 12 point turnaround and enough for Matt to take over the lead for good. No one on either team really stood out in this low scoring affair. Reggie Bush had another nice game td wise (2 rushing TD's). Matt only had 1 TD on the day (from Peterson). Alas, a win's a win no matter how ugly it is, and now Matt has to get ready for his next matchup against Ryan. Cindy loses her league high 7th straight, though there has been a couple games that have been within her reach. She'll play Zach and we'll see who wins the matchup of the 9th and 10th place teams.

Key Players
No Key Players Really Worth Mentioning

Dwayne Bowe (Dr. Wily's Robots) 17 receiving yards, 1 point

Matt Cassel (Da Boyz) 93 passing yards, 1 passing TD, 16 rushing yards, 8 points (over Matt Ryan)

Kevin Walter (Da Boyz) 6 receiving yards, 0 points

Wes Welker (Da Boyz) 46 receiving yards, 4 points

The_Twin_Killers (5-5)              81
Shredders (3-7)                           61

Overview: Zach continues to have crummy fantasy luck as Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin, and Willis McGahee all got hurt in this game. Jordy Nelson and John Kasay contributed more than half of his points, with the other 7 players having terrible games. Vick was horrible, Maclin and Stevie Johnson combined for 14 receiving yards, McGahee only contributed a point before getting hurt, it was brutal. Leland needed a win big time, and his guys really didn't have to do much to secure one. Matt Stafford was BADDDDDDD (4 picks) and the only real standout was Rob Gronkowski. Forte and Nicks both provided TD's as well. Not a great performance, but solid enough to get back to .500.

Key Players

Rob Gronkowski (The_Twin_Killers) 113 yards receiving, 2 receiving TD's, 23 points

Jordy Nelson (Shredders) 63 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD's, 18 points

Jeremy Maclin (Shredders) 6 receiving yards, 0 points (left game with injury)

Willis McGahee (Shredders) 17 rushing yards, 1 points (left game with injury)
