Week 10 Results: Dad's Triumph

It's not 100% percent official but with his 8th win, I'm pretty sure Dad has secured a playoff spot for the 3rd time in as many years. In typical Dad fashion he did it with 70 points and with Colin Kaepernick, Anquan Boldin, and Ray Rice all sucking. Wouldn't have it any other way. Dad's in pretty good shape for a bye as well if he can get at least one more win he should lock that up soon too. Here's a look at the week 10 results.

The Bad Robofies (8-2)             70
Hoosier Daddy (2-8)                 68

Yep, don't be surprised that he did it yet again. Dad breaks the current season winning streak record of 5 by Mark with his 6th straight win. Of those 6 wins, 5 of them are 7 points and under, 3 of those 5 are 4 points and under. It's unbelievably crazy and unbelievably lucky. Dad once again had to overcome a HORRIBLE Colin Kaepernick performance (A pathetic 2.5 points), Ray Rice continues to suck as well(30 rushing yards, only 8 points total) and Jimmy Graham was quiet with 59 yards. So how did he do it this time? Case Keenum has been a blessing for Andre Johnson. Johnson didn't have great yardage, but he scored two more times to make it 5 TD's in the past two games. Reuben Randle added a TD, and Donald Brown provided a nice spot start with a TD and 64 receiving yards. Of course if Dad won you know the opposition underperformed. That they did. Starting with Cam Newton who faced an equally brutal 49ers Defense and only had 5.5 points. Stevie Johnson got hurt and didn't do much, and Ryan's RB combo of Eddie Lacy and Ben Tate only combined for 15.5 points. Only DeSean Jackson (80 and a score) and Julius Thomas (96 and a score). Typical for Ryan this season as he loses yet another close game. That's 3 straight losses under 5 points, with two of those beings 2 points and 1 point. Season can't end fast enough for him. For Dad, like I said earlier the playoffs are a lock. There's no way 8-5 doesn't qualify for a top 6 spot. His only concern is getting that bye. If he can get 1 more win I believe he'll lock up a top 2 spot. He'll have three tries at it starting with Albert this week while Ryan takes on Me in a matchup I'm scared shitless about.

Game MVP

Did you know that in 2nd halves of seasons from last year and this year Mayra is a combined 3-10 including consolation playoffs? She always starts very strong but for some reason her team falls apart during the playoff stretch. Leland is doing an excellent job playing spoiler as this is his 3rd straight win knocking off yet another potential playoff team. This time Leland DID PLAY Riley Cooper and C.J. Spiller and though Spiller reverted back to shit, Riley Cooper had another great performance with 102 receiving yards and 2 scores. Danny Woodhead and Torrey Smith added TD's to help in the upset win for Leland who believe it or not technically still has a shot as he can still finish 7-6 if he wins out. For Mayra...well Big Ben definitely is not the answer. He's in a run first offense so big games are far and few between. He only had 204 yards with 1 TD and pick. Antonio Brown continues to be Mayra's most consistent player with 104 yards though Alshon Jeffrey is quickly becoming the most dominant as he had another huge game with 114 yards and had a TD overturned. Darren Sproles came alive and almost helped rally Mayra's team as he had 76 receiving yards and 2 TD's. Dez though...another game losing performance. He did even worse than last week as he only had 1 catch for 44 yards. The past two weeks when Mayra needed him the most he's come up small. Mayra also lost yet another player as Vernon Davis was concussed and left the game early. If she loses him for an extended period of time, it'll be yet another big blow to her playoff shot. Mayra won't have Dez Bryant next week, and she faces a super red hot Matt team. The loser of that will fall to under .500 so it's a BIG game to say the least. Leland will try to hang around and hope that Drew doesn't play spoiler and end his season.

Game MVP
Riley Cooper (Next!!!!)
3 receptions, 102 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD's, 23.5 points
Passion ofthe Puente (6-4)               82
Springville-Warrior (3-7)                 76.5

Mike finally gets off his losing streak, but it wasn't pretty at all. Mike's Running Backs really saved him this week as Marshawn Lynch (145 rushing yards and a TD) and Pierre Thomas (87 rushing yards, 24 receiving yards, 2 TD's) carried the bulk of the load after horrible games from Tony Romo, Wes Welker and Tony Gonzalez. Jerricho Cotchery of all people also chipped in with a TD. Mike got away with not playing either Marques Colston or Jarrett Boykin both who had solid games on his bench. This is the 2nd time a head scratching lineup decision cost Eugene a win. I know Gio Bernard was hurt, but all signed indicated he was good to go yet Eugene decided to play Fred Jackson over him. Bernard had 58 rushing yards, 8 catches for 37 yards and a TD for a total of 18 points. Fred Jackson? 55 rushing yards, 6.5 total points. Eugene lost by 5.5 points. There's your ball game and officially Eugene's season as he can finish no better than 6-7 now. Russell Wilson had a good game with 2 passing TD's and 287 passing yards and DeMarco Murray had a great start to his game but because Dallas fell so behind, he didn't do anything after that 1st quarter but still finished with 89 and a score. Mike's next matchup is a critical one as he faces Mark who is 6-4 himself. Eugene is now in the Ryan Role of Spoiler and he'll take on Kenny in week 11.

Game MVP
Pierre Thomas  (Passion ofthe Puente)
87 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 7 receptions, 24 receiving yards, 1 receiving TD, 25.5 points (Rushing TD sealed win)

Danny's Little Giants (7-3)              98.5
I'm A Paul Heyman Guy (3-7)        75.5

Kinda of a letdown for both teams after that high scoring start with Peterson and Garcon going over 20 points. Drew's team just never got it going outside of that Peterson game. Andrew Luck had 4 turnovers and only Kendall Wright and Reggie Bush went over 10 points and that was barely. Wide receiver production is what has hurt Drew all season as it was always inconsistent. He only got 17 points from the rest of his receivers outside of Wright. Unfortunately for Drew, this is loss #7 which means he's part of the spoiler squad now with Eugene and Ryan. I still wouldn't wanna play this team down the stretch as he's got the team that can pull it all together and pull of a win. For me, it wasn't too much better. In fact I went Sunday night up 90.5-75.5 with 3 players left. Jason Witten, Vincent Jackson, and Lance Moore only combined for 8 points. Not good. Chris Johnson also sucks again, as he a great matchup only to just absolutely suck, so now once again RB#2 is a worry. LeSean McCoy STILL can't get into the endzone but at least he had 150 rushing yards. Brandon Marshall once again pulled the major weight on my team with two TD's and a 139 yards. This is a huge win for me, but it's still not a given I'm in the playoffs, especially with the rest of my schedule not being that easy. I'll take on Ryan next week, while Drew will try to put the nail in Leland's season next week.

Shock The Monkey (6-4)              49.5

Wow, talk about a tale of two different teams. Matt was 2-5 and now has rolled up 3 straight wins to get back into the playoff hunt and he does it with authority this week against a struggling Mark team. This was never even close as once again Mark's guys just put up next to nothing offensively. Mark has scored under 80 points in 4 of the 5 past games and even under 50 in 2 of the last 3. Victor Cruz and Matt Forte were terrible and if they aren't going to do anything, you can basically bet the rest of Mark's team can't carry the load. Nick Foles was the only one to score double digits as he had 228 and 3 TD's. Brian Hartline was second on the team in scoring with 7.5 points. Ouch. Matt's team gets stronger and stronger, and it's a legit playoff team. I believe Matt's got the team to make a full run and get a playoff spot and if he does, watch out, because it's a scary team. Now that you look at it RGIII and Jordan Reed combined for 42 points on Thursday. Matt only need 8 more points from his entire team to finish the job. Golden Tate was solid yet again with 106 and a score. Zac Stacy and MJD both found the endzone as well. Matt did this without Jamaal Charles by the way. Matt takes on Mayra in the battle of 5-5's next week while Mark needs to desperately pick up a victory this week against Mike.

Game MVP
Robert Griffin III (Dr. Light's Robots)
281 Passing Yards, 3 Passing TD's, 44 rushing yards, 27 points

Washington Redskins v Minnesota Vikings

Not Even Lying (6-4)                     110
Channel 4 News Team (5-5)          100.5

Once again Kenny luckily survives what could've been a nightmare end to the week and pulls out a 9.5 point win and is now 3rd place in the league. For Kenny, it's basically the Drew Brees, Demaryius Thomas, Calvin Johnson show. These three guys continue to carry the load and provide most of Kenny's points. Brees had 392 and 4 TD's for 31 points, Demaryius Thomas had 7 catches, 108 yards, and 3 TD's for 31.5 points, and Calvin had 6 catches, 83 yards, and 2 TD's for 23 points. Kenny was up 6 points with Charles Clay and Mike James left vs Mike Wallace and Tim  Wright for Albert. Mike James started on FIRE, with 41 quick yards on the first drive but towards the end of that first drive, James got carted off with an ankle injury and didn't return. Kenny was up 10 with Charles Clay vs Albert's guys and there was still most of the game left. Was this game going to slip through his fingers? Nope, although Clay didn't do much, Wallace and Wright only combined for 4.5 points and Kenny got the W. For Albert, Peyton Manning and A.J. Green kept him in the game. Manning had his usual 330 4 passing TD performance. Unfortunately 3 of those TD's were to Demaryius Thomas. A.J. Green caught a hail mary TD pass at the end of the 4th quarter to pad his stats. He finished with 151 and a score. T.Y. Hilton also added 130 receiving yards, and Frank Gore had a solid 82 yard rushing game. It just wasn't enough to unseat Kenny. Kenny's got a favorable schedule and is not only in the running for a playoff spot but a bye as well. He'll take on Eugene next week, while Albert takes on my Dad.
