Week 6 Results: Hanging By A Thread

Dallas Cowboys v Green Bay Packers : News Photo
So we're still in uncharted territory here as both Ryan and Eugene by 10 points and less narrowly win their respective matchups and stay undefeated at 6-0. They can both tie the 2nd best start in league history next week with 7 wins (well, Eugene WILL tie it...he plays me next...that's the most surest fucking win you can have). It's pretty crazy and it's a testament to both guys in how they drafted and picked up players throughout the season so far. Here's this week's results.

No Soup For You (3-3)            135.50
Bay Area Tanners (1-5)             91.36

"The underachieving team rights the ship and slaughters me" That's exactly what I said right? Because heaven forbid I do what Drew did and win with a shitbag team..nope of course not..I lose as usual by a lot because who knows..it's me. Like I didn't call this all week (and every week). So beyond predictable that it's makes me wanna cry. Beyond sick of it. I hate this shit with every fiber of my being. Now I play Eugene and his undefeated team which means loss #6. Whatever..fuck this.

BigBadBob (0-6)                       79.58

Well obviously us Puentes have no clue how to play this game. 1-11 record this season. Like Son like Father in this case. Dad's team was terrible outside of Cam. Matt's team wasn't great, but if you're playing me or Dad, you really don't have to be. Brady and Gronk were great again and Kelvin Benjamin and Jamaal Charles both had double digits. See...all you need is a back to back helping of playing me and Dad to get your season back on track. Unfortunately for Matt he has to now play real competition with teams that actually have a shot to win like Mayra. Dad's next loss is against Leland next week.

Game MVP

Woe Is You (4-2)                          122.94
Channel 4 News Team (4-2)         88.38

Well after 3 straight dominating wins, Albert's team gets crushed by Mike's this week as really only Andrew Luck showed up. Disappointing receiver performances by A.J. Green, Hilton and Doug Baldwin hurt Albert pretty badly this week. For Mike, looks like he found a nice waiver wire pickup in Cameron Meredith. He had nearly 17 points and Jonathan Stewart is back and healthy with 2 TD's and nearly 21 points. FINALLY we saw the Odell Beckham that made Mike take him #3 overall. Beckham was insane with 222 receiving yards and 2 TD's (211 of those yards came in the 2nd half). Terrelle Pryor had a great added 65 yards and two scores himself. Despite season ending losses of Eric Decker and Keenan Allen, Mike's quietly been doing pretty good with a 4-2 record. He gets what should be a pretty easy matchup against Drew, while Albert looks to end Ryan's undefeated streak.

Hoosier Daddy (6-0)              115.06
Bigger Balls (3-3)                   104.50

Mayra's team is on a bit of a slide since that 3-0 start and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier anytime soon. The big news is Ben Roethlisberger was injured and has an uncertain timetable for a return. Last year, that killed Antonio Brown's season while Ben was out and it can threaten to do the same this year. That and Matt Forte just completely sucking after 2 games has taking the sails off Mayra's season recently. She finally got the Lamar Miller breakout game everyone's been waiting for (178 total yards and 2 TD's) but it wasn't enough as the majority of her team underperformed pretty badly. Outside of Matt Ryan (who's been AMAZING) AND Amari Cooper (and to an extant Mike Wallace) it was another overall disappointing effort. For Ryan, he sneaks out a victory thanks to KENNY BRITT of all people. I give props to Ryan who has used to waiver wire to his advantage this year with pickups like Britt and Henry, two big reasons he's still undefeated after 6 weeks. Also, Christine Michael was great with 2 rushing TD's and Zeke was Zeke with another 157 yard performance. Luckily those performances were able to hide the bad (Roethlisberger's injury, Crabtree and Ingram terrible games). The Big Ben injury isn't even too much of a big deal because Ryan has Philip Rivers to plug in. He'll definitely have a tough road to win #7 with Albert next on the horizon, while Mayra takes on Matt and will try to end her 3 game losing streak.

Rocket Man (6-0)                 91.06
SCLSU MudDogs (2-4)       87.50

Man...so close to defeating both Lawrence brothers, but ultimately Larry Fitzgerald's let down performance Monday Night did Alex in as he loses by less than 4 points. I hate to harp on it, but I'm really sure he'd like to get that week back where he lost because he didn't play a tight end because there's a ton of 3-3 teams in his path now blocking his playoff chance. Awful performances from everyone but Drew Brees, Le'veon Bell, and Jimmy Graham. For Eugene, he barely escapes and his guys didn't really play much better. He keeps winning despite Aaron Rodgers struggles and really outside of Julio (who saved him again despite a bad matchup) and Duke Johnson of all people, everyone was a disappointment on Eugene's team. You can pretty much lock Eugene into an 8-0 start because he plays me next week and then my Dad in Week 8. Spoiler Alert, because he's playing against me and it's Thursday Night against the Bears, Aaron Rodgers breaks his 17 games without a 300 yard game streak and goes nuts with over 300 and multiple scores. Just watch...I dare you to say I'm going to be wrong. For Alex, opportunity lost, but still he's only a game behind 4 teams and if you aren't playing me or my Dad, the next best team is to play Mark and that's exactly who he's playing next week.

THE SPOILER (3-3)          107.22
Shock The Monkey (1-5)      76.64

It seriously pisses me off that Drew and Mike's team can lose such key guys on their rosters and their waiver wire pickups pan out and they win while I don't even have injuries and my guys just SUCK. Even Drew's "good" players, Eddie Lacy and Allen Robinson have been MASSIVE disappointments, yet here's Drew 3-3 and dispatches Mark easily this week. Unbelievably frustrating that things never pan out like this for me but they do for everyone else (like when Eugene had a "bad on paper" team last year and managed to finish 3rd). So the "Mad Scientist" plays Jalen Strong and Carson Palmer and both fail miserably but thanks to Terrence West (87 and 2 scores) Coby Fleener (Fleenfuck with 74 yards and two TD's, one of them RUSHING...like really!??! C'monnnn) and Cole Beasley (58 and two scores) Drew gets the easy win. Notice how I didn't say Eddie Lacy, Allen Robinson, and Ryan Mathews? Because THEY SUCKED...yet somehow DREW STILL FUCKING WINS....such bullshit. For Mark, I eerily see parallels to my team. We both have shoddy QB's (his has been a combo of Blake Bortles and Carson Palmer, while mine has been a steady shit stream of Eli, Dalton, and Alex Smith) underachieving pussies (Alshon Jeffrey, Latavius Murray, and Dez for Mark, basically my whole team outside of Mike Evans and LeSean McCoy). We have that one super elite RB that surprised everyone but since the rest of our team sucks beyond belief it doesn't matter how good they are (DeMarco Murray for Mark, and LeSean McCoy for me). Mark lost because half of his team was mediocre (5 guys scored between 11 and 13 points) and the rest were just flat out bad (Under 8 points for Barnidge, Under 5 points for Deandre Washington, barely over 2 points for Jeremy Kerley). Dez coming back is the only shot in the arm Mark can get at this point and he'll have to wait one more week for that as Dallas is on bye. Mark plays Alex next week, while Drew continues his unfathomable run against Mike.

P.S. This is a stupid sham of a "game" that requires zero skill only luck. My only hope is that somehow there's some legal loophole that makes this shit illegal to play in all 50 states and it gets banned from every being played in the United States again...if Trump or Hilary can promise that they can eliminate Fantasy Football forever...they get my undying support and vote.

Thursday Night Overview/Week 5 Awards

Denver Broncos v San Diego Chargers : News Photo
Welp...it was another mediocre ass Thursday night game last night as once again the Thursday night game provided tons of disappointment (like it usually does). For the 2nd straight week, lucky for me, I had no plays, but my opponent did and so far this season, that hasn't ended well. Unfortunately for Leland, he's the first opponent of mine who hasn't taken advantage of the Thursday Night matchup as Demaryius Thomas was awful. 5 catches for 35 yards and a fumble. A 4 point play. Because I'm me and I'm pessimistic, I'll give Leland words of encouragement. First of all, Thomas is basically the 6th best player in Leland's lineup. It's not like David Johnson bombed. It's a survivable bust. Look at Ryan last week, got 1.6 from John Brown and still beat my Dad by 20 points and scored nearly 130 points, so although disappointment, I honestly feel like it changes nothing about our matchup because Leland still has the better overall team (even MORE this week with me out Mike Evans and Jerrick McKinnon who are on byes). That leads me to my next point..look at my team. If you don't think I have 3 or 4 guys who can basically bust like Demaryius did, you're insane. My team has little upside, and when you're relying on Alex Smith, Arian Foster and Bilal Powell to lead you to victory, you realize why you're 1-4 about to be 1-5. It's not intimidating whatsoever. I'm not falling for the trap...the false hope. I'll still lose and lose easily. The only bright spot of the night was Ryan's tight end, Hunter Henry. It seems like he's found a really good one as Henry had 85 and a score and was the only fantasy player to exceed expectations. With Ryan looking to keep his undefeated streak on the line, this was a HUGE play for him. For everyone else, there was the disappointing (Emmanuel Sanders finishing for 4 catches for 40 yards and getting hurt for Dad, Tyrell Williams going for 3 catches for 28 yards for Matt, and Travis Benjamin only catching 3 balls for 17 yards and also losing a fumble for Alex) and then there was the mediocre "he did average, but could've done a lot better" (71 total yards for C.J. Anderson for Mike and 94 rushing yards for Melvin Gordon). None of it really sways any matchups, just a whole bunch of shitty football. I really wish those Thursday Night Games would die a fiery death. Anyways, onto the Week 5 Awards.

Wane McGarity Stud Of The Week
Marcus Mariota (SCLSU MudDogs)
Tennessee Titans v Miami Dolphins : News Photo
Gonna give credit where credit is due, Alex didn't panic without Brees, he didn't even bother to worry about how awful Mariota had been the past 3 games, he just plugged him and hoped for the best and the best he got. He was rewarded with 4 total TD's and nearly 34 points. It's a big reason he was able to pull off the upset against Leland.

Michael Wiley Dud Of The Week
Eli Manning (Bay Area Tanners)
New York Giants v Green Bay Packers : News Photo
I'm sure there were worse statistical plays, but this guy has torpedoed me all season and in a week where I had another viable starter (Andy Dalton) and I only lost by 10 points, I stuck by this shitsack and watched him once again fuck me over in grand fashion. I don't get Eli at all. I know the offensive line is a problem, but Eli himself has looked like dogshit most of the year with terrible passes. It sucks because you look at the pathetic running game and the depth of receivers (he's got fucking ODELL BECKHAM for crying out loud, how the FUCK do you SUCK when you get to throw to THAT GUY), and when he has juicy matchups you think to yourself..."this is the week he finally gets it together" and nope he fucking sucks again. He's thrown 2 TD passes IN 4 WEEKS.....2!! This was supposed to be one of those "breakthrough" weeks because the Packers secondary is in shambles and the only thing that can stop is the run. Didn't matter, Eli was fucking worthless and the only reason his performance wasn't even worse was because Odell Beckham saved his ass with a circus catch TD. He's more than deserving of this award.

Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award
Jacquizz Rodgers (Woe Is You)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Carolina Panthers : News Photo
Mike had to roll the dice with Rodgers after Charles Sims was put on IR. It was a risky play against a pretty good run defense. Luckily the Bucs decided to concentrate on establishing a run game (by giving Rodgers the ball 30 damn times) and he was able to rush for over 100 yards and seal Mike's narrow 5 point win against Mark.

Jay Cutler Bad Decision Award
I played Eli over Andy Dalton
Cincinnati Bengals v Dallas Cowboys : News Photo
So my original plan was to play Andy Dalton over Eli again just because of how shit Eli's been. Two things stopped me from doing this. I played Dalton the week before and he barely had over 15 points and that was against a shit Dolphins team and Eli had a tantalizing matchup against Green Bay's depleted secondary which smelled like a Sunday Night Shootout. I worried that the way the Cowboys dominate time of possession and the conservative nature of the Bengals offense, it would be another Dalton "better in real life than fantasy" performance. I ended up dropping Dalton altogether. For 3 quarters...I was right as the Cowboys just destroyed the Bengals on offense and DEFENSE and Andy Dalton couldn't get anything going. Then garbage time came, and Dalton's two TD's to Brandon LaFell catapulted him in to a nice a 24 point performance. Doesn't matter how or why, in fantasy he got the job done. Then Eli played...and like I said earlier...he was complete dogshit. Had I stayed the course, I would've beaten Matt.

Week 6 Matchups and Predictions

Hey I was actually 5-1 last week...so every once in a blue moon, things go how they should go. So the quest to stay undefeated continues for Ryan and Eugene but both have challenging matchups, while Dad still looks for Victory #1 himself. Here's this week's Matchups and Predictions.

No Soup For You (2-3) vs
Bay Area Tanners (1-4)

All Time Record
I lead series 6-4-1

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Leland wins 110-98
I Say: Leland wins. Nope not wasting any space on this matchup. This is so cliche it's hilarious to me. The Struggling Underachieving Team finally finds its footing against a sham of a team that is a pure embarrassment and the owner should be banned from ever playing this stupid game and not only wins but wins convincingly to get "back on track" while the shitty team he faces continues his freefall spiral into what could be the worst season he's ever played. That's what's happening, we all know it, no bullshit, I'm 5-0 picking my matchups, and it is what it is..my team sucks.

Light's Broken Bots (2-3) vs
BigBadBob (0-5)

All Time Record
Dad lead series 5-1

Key Players

BigBadBob: Cam Newton (Saints) Emmanuel Sanders (Chargers) Brandon Marshall (Cardinals) Frank Gore (Texans) Greg Olsen (Saints)

Light's Broken Bots: Tom Brady (Bengals) Kelvin Benjamin (Saints) Jordy Nelson (Cowboys) Jamaal Charles (Raiders) Rob Gronkowski (Bengals)

Wild Cards

BigBadBob: RB Play, tough matchup for Brandon Marshall. Cam's health

Light's Broken Bots: Jamaal Charles Workload.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Matt wins 100.99-100.54
I Say: Dad wins. Yeah..I think Dad finally gets Win #1 here though it's obviously super close. Of course this hinges on  Cam's Availability, if he doesn't play than Matt wins this easily, if not, a smell somewhat of an upset here. I'd like to see Jamaal Charles do something before anointing him "back" and I just have feeling Dad's guys find a way to get it done. I think Cam, Olsen and Snead have really good games in what should be a shootout and I dunno why, but the Bengals aren't the Browns, and though I think Brady will be more than fine, I don't think it's going to be as easy as it was last week.

Hoosier Daddy (5-0) vs
Bigger Balls (3-2)

All Time Record
Ryan Leads Series 5-1 (Last win in the 11th place game of the 2015 Michael Wiley Loser Bowl)

Key Players

Hoosier Daddy: Ben Roethlisberger (Dolphins) Michael Crabtree (Chiefs) Ezekiel Elliott (Packers) Mark Ingram (Panthers) Devonta Freeman (Seahawks)

Bigger Balls: Antonio Brown (Dolphins) Amari Cooper (Chiefs) Lamar Miller (Colts) Matt Forte (Cardinals)

Wild Cards

Hoosier Daddy: No Steve Smith this week. Kenny Britt #3 receiver. Tough Matchups for Mark Ingram/Devonta Freeman

Bigger Balls: Tough Forte Matchup. Can Lamar Miller FINALLY get it together. Dak vs Packers

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Mayra wins 106-99
I say: Mayra wins. The Steve Smith news is big blow as Ryan's receiving group is kinda thin as it is and Smith was producing solid numbers when healthy. Kenny Britt seems his ceiling is 10 points. Also, anytime your QB is tied to your opponent's best receiver, it really sucks. Basically for Roethlisberger to be great, Antonio Brown will have to be as well, and the receiver always nets out from the QB (just ask Leland last week when Matthew Stafford threw two TD's passes to....Theo Riddick who Alex had). Sure Jacquizz Rodgers got over 100 yards against Carolina but it took 30 carries to do it. The Saints are a pass first team, I don't think Ingram will get the volume Rodgers did last week, and Devonta Freeman exceeded expectations against a dominant Broncos defense, he'll have to do it again against an equally good run D in Seattle. If Lamar Miller can take advantage of his matchup and DELIVER against a bad D, I think Mayra stops Ryan's undefeated streak at 5.

Channel 4 News Team (4-1) vs
Woe Is You (3-2)

All Time Stats
Albert Leads Series 3-2 (Albert Beat Mike in Week 9 of the 2013 Season)

Key Players

Channel 4 News Team: Andrew Luck (Texans) T.Y. Hilton (Texans) A.J. Green (Patriots) Doug Baldwin (Falcons) Jordan Howard (Jaguars)

Woe Is You: Derek Carr (Chiefs) Odell Beckham Jr. (Ravens) C.J. Anderson (Chargers) Jordan Reed* (Eagles)

Wild Cards

Channel 4 News Team: Blount's workload with Brady back. Will Fuller bounce back

Woe Is You: Jordan Reed Possibly Concussed. Still waiting for a Beckham breakout. Jonathan Stewart's first game back. Cameron Meredith encore performance.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Albert wins 112-98
I Say: Albert wins. I was leaning towards Albert before the sudden news that Jordan Reed was in concussion protocol, but that's going to be a huge loss for Mike and the fact that the tight ends on the waivers are terrible won't make things any easier. Albert's been on a roll lately and that Jordan Howard addition has been a huge pickup. I think Albert keeps on trucking and is legit threat to taking over those top two spots should Eugene and/or Ryan lose.

Rocket Man (5-0) vs
SCLSU MudDogs (2-3)

All Time Record
Eugene leads series 3-1

Key Players

Rocket Man: Aaron Rodgers (Cowboys) Julio Jones (Seahawks) DeAndre Hopkins (Colts) Melvin Gordon (Broncos)

SCLSU MudDogs: Drew Brees (Panthers) Julian Edelman (Bengals) Larry Fitzgerald (Jets) Carlos Hyde (Bills) Delanie Walker (Browns) Le'Veon Bell (Dolphins)

Wild Cards

Rocket Man: Can Aaron Rodgers finally throw for 300 yards? Tough Matchups for Julio and Melvin Gordon. Kenneth Dixon RB2 start.

SCLSU MudDogs: Nothing really outta the norm here.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Alex wins 121-101
I Say: Alex wins. I think it'll be closer than Yahoo thinks, but I think this is the week both undefeated teams go down. Considering how good Terrence West has been, I don't know how much Kenneth Dixon will get this week and that could be a death knell at the RB2 spot. We've seen Julio Jones dominate good defenses and also struggle like last week and this week isn't any easier against Seattle. The matchups this week just tend to favor Alex more, and I think he gets the job done and beats both Lawrence brothers back to back.

THE SPOILER (2-3) vs
Shock The Monkey (1-4)

All Time Record
Mark Leads Series 2-1

Key Players

THE SPOILER: Carson Palmer (Jets) Allen Robinson (Bears) Eddie Lacy* (Cowboys) Ryan Mathews (Redskins)

Shock The Monkey: Blake Bortles (Bears) Jarvis Landry (Steelers) Alshon Jeffrey (Jaguars) DeMarco Murray (Browns)

Wild Cards

THE SPOILER: Palmer fully recovered from concussion? Eddie Lacy's availability.

Shock The Monkey: Alshon's struggles. Roster as a whole.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Mark wins 96-94
I Say: Mark wins. Jeez this doesn't look pretty for either side and if Drew wasn't dealing with enough injury problems, now Eddie Lacy might miss this week's game. That'll be my determining factor into who wins this week. This has the potential to be really low scoring.

Week 5 Results: Still Standing Strong

New York Jets v Pittsburgh Steelers : News Photo
I did some fact checking and indeed we've never been past week 5 of a season and still had two undefeated teams standing tall at the top of the mountain. In fact the most weeks we've ever had more than 1 undefeated team was 3 weeks last year. Yet here are with both Eugene and Ryan 5-0 and cruising along. Eugene isn't too shocking, Ryan though is the team I definitely thought would tail off. Not to discredit him but what's helping him so far is the strength of schedule and a little luck (he absolutely should've lost Week 3 to Alex) but hey we all need a little luck here and there. Next week will be a tougher test than Ryan's faced in a while as he'll take on Mayra, while Eugene has Alex's up and down squad who just outshot his brother for a nice win this week. Just an FYI, if the unthinkable happens and these two stay undefeated for 10 weeks, they finally go one on one in Week 11. Here's this week's results.

Channel 4 News Team (4-1)              111.08
Bigger Balls (3-2)                                92.08

Albert continues to roll just behind the two undefeated teams as he easily gets a W against Mayra's semi struggling team. That Luck-Hilton combination has been dangerous and has led him to victory the past 3 weeks. They alone combined for over 52 points and it was enough to overcome Will Fuller's nonexistent game (less than a point) and A.J. Green's sub 10 point game. Also Albert found a gem in Bears running back Jordan Howard. He's looking like a legit RB1 and he put up 163 total yards and a TD. If Howard is this good, Albert's definitely got a team to contend with. LaGarrette Blount didn't do much but did score a TD and keep in mind this win was without Doug Baldwin (bye) and Doug Martin (hurt). Definitely not a team I'd like to face right now. For Mayra, Antonio Brown continues to be the anchor on her team and keep in her matchups, but Lamar Miller has pretty much been a bust considering the expectations for him. He finished with less than 25 yards total and still has not scored a TD all season. It's now 5 weeks in to the season so it is very alarming at this point. Also Matt Forte has completely come back down to earth after that hot two week start. That's 3 straight weeks of mediocre production and worries that his body just can't handle the workload he's been given are starting to look accurate. At least Amari Cooper finally had a dominant game with 138 and a score, his best game of the season by far. Hopefully that's a start of things to come. Mayra's next in line to take a shot at Ryan and his undefeated team next week, while Albert takes on Mike next week.

No Soup For You  (2-3)              126.60

So I was wrong again....I thought this was a team you couldn't beat a shootout but Alex puts it the 2nd most points in the league this year and outshoots Leland after two straight disappointing weeks. This isn't a bad loss for Leland, his team did great...he put up the 3rd most points this week, he just ran into a buzz saw and there was nothing he could do. This had shootout implications after Thursday night, but it still looked like Leland had the upper hand. One of things you hate when you have a QB and your opponent has a skill position player on the same team is the possibility of your QB throwing TD's to that player and that's exactly what happened here. Stafford threw three TD's for Leland...but two of those were to Theo Riddick who Alex has. Marcos Mariota had been awful, but Alex had to start him this week due to Brees bye and wow did he wake the hell up. Mariota finished with 3 TD passes and another 60 yards on the ground and a rush TD. He more than made up for no Brees and now Alex has Brees the rest of the way. Travis Benjamin had 7 catches for 117 yards and like I said about Riddick he had 2 TD's and finished with a little over 23 points. Delanie Walker added a TD, and Le'Veon Bell is so damn good, he doesn't need to score to put up nearly 20 points for Alex. For Leland it was just bad luck as every guy on his team with the exception of Zach Ertz put up double digits. Todd Gurley, Demaryius Thomas, Marvin Jones all scored TD's and Randall Cobb finally woke up and had a 100 yard game. Still not worried about Leland and he's shown he can score points and the ship will turn around for him and he's got the best matchup he can have against me. It's soooooooo beyond predictable what's going to happen next week. Leland's lost two in a row and then he plays me, destroys me, and rights the ship. Alex has a tall task ahead of him next week as he takes on Eugene's undefeated team.

Not gonna spend much time on this. Drew is basically in "Mad Scientist" mode as he just trying out different combinations and seeing what sticks. Love that this approach has a better record than me, who spends hours upon hours on research, only to lose every single week. It worked for 2 games but didn't come close to working here. Paxton Lynch was his best play. For Eugene, it wasn't the best of games, but his team didn't have to do much anyways. Martellus Bennett (another one of my award winning moves..I cut him after 3 games) was his best play with 3 scores and nearly 28 points. Oh predictably, DeAndre Hopkins did good against a tough Vikings Defense and that's because he's not on my team anymore. Go figure...who saw that coming? I really hate this fucking crapshoot game with a passion. Rishard Matthews added a TD too. So Eugene takes his undefeated record against Alex, who just put up over 150 points without Drew Brees, while Drew takes on Mark.

Bay Area Tanners (1-4)                  100.66

So once again Bad QB play (Eli is such a wormhead piece of shit yet for like 3 outta the 4 last years he's been my fucking QB) killed me and predictably I lose again. I don't feel like going through my team's shit. Just know LeSean McCoy, Sammie Coates, and Mike Evans were great and everyone else sucked. For Matt, yup Brady/Gronk predictably were great, while of course he got the better of the Matt Asiata/Jerrick McKennon time share (love it, Asiata tripled McKennon's production because why not). Jordy Nelson scored a TD and TYRELL WILLIAMS (lmao) went off for 20 points. Just whatever, I'm just going through the motions at this point. No sense in pretending I'm going do anything but fail this year. This is a perfect time for Matt to get a full strength as he has another shot at a winnable matchup against my winless Dad, while I get slaughtered by Leland next week even though he's had two straight losses.

Hoosier Daddy (5-0)           127.90
BigBadBob (0-5)                106.36

Just like last week, for a little while, this looked like Dad was going to possibly pull of the win, especially after Ryan's 1.6 John Brown start. Alas it didn't happen and Ryan's really piling up the points now, as he scored nearly 130 after nearly dropping 180 last week. The Freeman/Tevin Coleman combo defied odds against Denver's tough D and combined for 44 points. It's still shaky to go with this timeshare, as it could blow up anytime, but for now it's working. Zeke Elliott is proving to be a big time difference maker as he destroyed a pretty good Bengals defense with 171 total yards and 2 TD's. Guy's legit and well worth the #2 overall pick for Ryan. So the receivers didn't do much (Crabtree did score) but when you have Big Ben (380 yards and 4 TD's) and a pretty deep RB core (remember Mark Ingram was on bye), it hasn't hurt Ryan that much, though Steve Smith's injury might deplete his WR group even more. For Dad, it was another good performance, he's consistently putting up 100 point games, he's just facing high scoring teams. You can't even really say no Cam Newton hurt him much because Andy Dalton was pretty good (all garbage time, but in Fantasy Football that doesn't matter) with 24 points. Dad's RB situation is dreadful after whiffing on both Langford and Rawls. A oksih Frank Gore is his best back and after that just crapshoots. Greg Olsen continues to be the 2nd best tight end outside of Gronk and he went off with a career high 181 yards on 9 catches. He's so damn solid. Also Brandon Marshall was great with 114 and a score but it just wasn't enough to knock Ryan off. Dad will take on Matt next week, while Ryan has a tough matchup against Mayra next week.

Woe Is You (3-2)                 85.38
Shock The Monkey (1-4)    80.80

Closest matchup of the week, as Mike just barely squeaks by Mark to go to 3-2 thanks to a Jacquizz Rodgers spot start. Rodgers finished with 129 total yards (on 30 rushing attempts!) to seal the deal. Other than that, Mike's team was pretty awful. Odell Beckham saved his day with a TD catch that was unbelievable. How he stayed inbounds I'll never know, but still he only had 56 yards and it's still concerning how shitty Wormhead Shitbag Eli is. When he goes down he takes the offense with him. Derek Carr continues to be solid as he threw for over 300 yards and 2 scores. The rest of Mike's team just couldn't get it going. For Mark it's just a whole lot of mediocrity. Jarvis Landry was shut down, Alshon Jeffrey continues to disappoint, and DeMarco Murray continues to be the only bright spot on what's been a pretty disappointing season so far. Injuries and busts have hurt him and he's depending on a lot of fringe inconsistent guys to lead him week to week. Mark vs Drew should be an interesting matchup as both teams are in disarray, while Mike taking on Albert's red hot team next week.

Thursday Night Overview/Week 4 Awards

Arizona Cardinals v San Francisco 49ers : News Photo
Well..here's a Captain Obvious statement in regards to fantasy football...throw logic out the window. It doesn't matter how much you research, look at the stats, the players, the matchups..etc..none of matters because it's allllll dumb luck. Take last night's game, which was supposed to be a low scoring yawn fast (I'd still say the game was pretty boring, honestly I only watched the beginning and the last 7 minutes). No way Larry Fitzgerald was going to have a good game catching passes from Drew Stanton. I even believe one of Rotoworld's "expert" (hate that term, they are analysts not "experts" fantasy football experts DON'T EXIST) had written in his column to downgrade Fitz to a WR3. No way Carlos Hyde is going to do much against a tough Arizona D. So naturally Hyde and Fitz shred their defenses, combine for 4 TD's and 43.5 fantasy points. I wish Yahoo or Rotoworld would pay me to be an expert...I'm wrong all the time which makes me heavily qualified for the position. Anyways, what a great start for Alex, who has a knack of taking alleged "broken down receivers" (last year it was Brandon Marshall) late in drafts and reaping the benefits. Fitz has been a monster and boy do I feel stupid taking Michael Floyd over him (who I didn't play believe it or not, because if I did, the whining and venting would've been at an 11 this morning since Floyd had 0 points, still sucks that I wasted a 4th round pick on this guy). Even with such a great start (which if playing anyone else would probably seal the Week with a win), Alex is playing Leland who had David Johnson who continues to show why's he in the conversation as the #1 fantasy back in football as he had 157 rushing yards (185 total yards) with 2 scores of his own for 32 points. The only way to beat Leland is to have his team underperform, if it's going to be a high scoring shootout (which from the looks of it, this start suggests) Leland's more than likely going to win. Great start for both guys nonetheless, and once again if Leland wins, it's not going to be easy. The only other play of the game was Ryan playing John Brown. Remember when Brown went off for 19 points against me last week? He was held to 11 yards this week because of course he was. Terrible start for Ryan in his quest to stay undefeated, and though this definitely gives Dad a bigger edge than he had, still like to see Dad's guys take advantage of the bad start from Ryan. Onto the Week 4 Awards.

Wane McGarity Stud Of The Week
Julio Jones (Channel 4 News Team)
Carolina Panthers v Atlanta Falcons : News Photo
This was tough, because I thought about giving Ryan's team as a whole this award for breaking the all time points record, but Julio's 42 point explosion is just too awesome to ignore.

Michael Wiley Dud Of The Week
DeAndre Hopkins (Bay Area Tanners)
Tennessee Titans v Houston Texans : News Photo
Look it's one thing to get "bottled up" by the Patriots...but the TITANS?! 1 catch for 4 yards... less than a point..inexcusable, and has been a huge reason to my 1-3 start (in a week I lost by 5 points, he SUCKED). Just a terrible situation where the QB is awful and seems to have a favorite receiver himself in Will Fuller. He forced me to make a panic trade and now Eugene can reap the benefits of his "resurgence".

Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award
Terrence West (THE SPOILER)
Oakland Raiders v Baltimore Ravens : News Photo
Here's one of the reason Drew was able to pull off one of the biggest upsets in league history. With both of his top running backs on bye, Drew's hand was forced as he had to plug in Terrence West into his lineup. Word was, he'd be the starter, and he more than showed why he was named the starter with a solid 17 fantasy points. So far Drew's lived up to his team name and it's plays like this that are helping him do the impossible.

Jay Cutler Bad Decision Award
Mayra Plays Dak Prescott over Matt Ryan
Carolina Panthers v Atlanta Falcons : News Photo
It wasn't a horrible move, and it was justifiable because the Falcons were playing the Panthers and many were expecting a Matt Ryan clunker, plus Dak Prescott wasn't too shabby with a 20 point performance himself, but it's really hard to look at your bench and see Matt Ryan's 500 yard 4 TD, 40 point performance on your bench. Here's a scenario that sounds convoluted but really isn't. Had she played Matt Ryan and played Mike Wallace or T.J. Yeldon at her flex and moved Witten to Tight End (where an inactive Julius Thomas was, moving Witten to tight end from flex because of Thomas' injury would've forced her to play one of those two), she would've won her matchup.

Week 5 Matchups and Predictions

Kiss of Death time! Here's this week's matchups and predictions

Bay Area Tanners (1-3) vs
Light's Broken Bots (1-3)

All Time Record
I lead series 8-4

Key Players

Bay Area Tanners: Eli Manning (Packers) Mike Evans (Panthers) Jordan Matthews (Lions) LeSean McCoy (Rams) Jerrick McKennon (Texans)

Light's Broken Bots: Tom Brady (Browns) Jordy Nelson (Giants) Kelvin Benjamin (Bucs) Rob Gronkowski (Browns)

Wild Cards

Bay Area Tanners: Pure lotto plays in Coates, Brate and Powell. Tough Matchup for Mike Evans. Will Eli FINALLY get it together? Jerrick McKennon legit? Will my Hopkins trade suck?

Light's Broken Bots: Brady's return and Gronk's involvement. Crowell tough matchup. Asiata/Hill production.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Matt wins 100-89
I Say: Matt wins. Don't worry Matt, my matchups are the only matchups I predict with 100% accuracy, no jinx here. So the big news here is I panicked and traded away my underachieving keepers. I have a gut feeling after making the trade...it's not going to work and I probably did what I did last year and really made a stupid trade (last year's gem was trading away Michael Floyd AND Brandin Cooks for Randall Cobb). I made the trade because I don't have the luxury of waiting around for Hopkins or Parker to turn it around (which I believe Hopkins will, it's just his schedule the next 2 of 3 weeks is brutal...I seriously would've benched him anyways against Minnesota just because of how Minnesota's D has shut down better QB's and offenses than Houston, then in two weeks, they play Denver). My team is so fucked up and I drafted so horribly, that basically if Hopkins does what he's done the past two weeks...I'm just dead in the water. It's not Hopkins that sucks..it's his situation. I'm taking a gamble that Jordan Matthews and Carson Wentz will still have the chemistry they've had early in the season and the Jeremy Maclin will be a solid WR3 with a solid floor an upside for blowup games (something I DON'T have as both Michael Floyd and Devante Parker have been complete busts). If I waited another week and Hopkins sucks again, his value plummets even more. Eugene was in the perfect spot to do this trade. He's 4-0..he's got a winnable matchup against Drew, that even if Hopkins does suck, he can survive with the guys he has around him, and if he somehow doesn't win next week, he's still 4-1. Hopkins schedule gets much easier after his bye week...but at 1-3..what good is that if I'm already 1-7 or 2-6? My rationale makes sense to me, but this is trade I can definitely see blowing up in my face..because it's me. Anyways, I'm still going to probably lose this week (would've picked me to lose regardless of trading Hopkins or not) because I can't trust my team. Eli's been awful, and I'm hoping for a bounce back, and I've got guys like Sammie Coates and Bilal Powell, and Cameron Brate who could literally go for 2-3 points. That, combined with Matt getting Tom Brady back (against the BROWNS) and pairing him up with Gronk (who's just READY to explode), I'm just not feeling confident about this matchup at all and it's really a must win because I'm not Drew and there's no way I beat Leland next week.

Hoosier Daddy (4-0) vs
BigBadBob (0-4)

All Time Record
Dad Leads Series 4-2

Key Players

Hoosier Daddy: Ben Roethlisberger (Jets) Michael Crabtree (Chargers) Ezekiel Elliott (Bengals) Steve Smith (Redskins) Devonta Freeman (Broncos)

BigBadBob: Cam Newton* (Bucs) Emmanuel Sanders (Falcons) Brandon Marshall (Steelers) Greg Olsen (Bucs) Frank Gore (Bears)

Wild Cards

Hoosier Daddy: Tough Matchups for Elliott and Atlanta Backfield. If Palmer doesn't play, how does that affect John Brown?

BigBadBob: Is Cam going to play? Running back production.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Dad wins 104-91
I Say: Ryan wins. First of all, Hunter Henry's projection is bullshit unless Gates is playing which I hadn't heard that he was.  2nd, Dad is a favorite based on Cam Newton's playing status. If he doesn't play, it'll be a huge blow and Dad's almost in my situation where's he's relying on lotto tickets like Darren Sproles, Fozzy Whitaker, and Adam Humphries to lead him to victory. It's hard to win when half your team is a question mark and those guys could sink or swim your week. The other thing that gives Dad a chance is Ryan's guys don't exactly have stellar matchups. Ryan is forced to play Freeman/Coleman with Ingram out but they play the Broncos so that has a chance to be a bust. Plus, Carson Palmer not playing might significantly hinder John Brown's performance. This matchup can go so many ways, that I'm just going with a hunch that Ryan pulls this off and stays undefeated. (which means the way things have been going with my picks, Congrats Dad on Win #1!)

Channel 4 News Team (3-1) vs
Bigger Balls (3-1)

All Time Record
Mayra Leads Series 4-2

Key Players

Channel 4 News Team: Andrew Luck (Bears) A.J. Green (Cowboys) T.Y. Hilton (Bears) Will Fuller (Vikings)

Bigger Balls: Antonio Brown (Jets) Amari Cooper (Chargers) DeSean Jackson (Ravens) Lamar Miller (Vikings) Matt Forte (Steelers)

Wild Cards

Channel 4 News Team: Tough Matchup for Fuller. Blount's usage with Brady back? Gates Healthy?

Bigger Balls: Matt Ryan or Dak? Tough Matchups for Miller/Forte. Who's going to be the flex play?

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Albert wins 109-96
I Say: Albert wins. Albert's had back to back impressive wins after his 68 point dud in Week 2. He's catching Mayra at a pretty good time as her best players (even Antonio Brown, though he can overcome anyone) have very difficult matchups. Albert won't have Doug Baldwin this week, but I think overall his team will have an easier time getting points than Mayra's (though admittedly Gates availability, Fuller's tough matchup himself and Blount's role now that Brady's back could be obstacles for Albert).

No Soup For You (2-2) vs
SCLSU MudDogs (1-3)

All Time Record
Leland Leads Series 2-1 (Beat Alex in Week 13 of the 2015 Season to knock him out of the playoffs)

Key Players

No Soup For You: Matthew Stafford (Eagles) Demaryius Thomas (Falcons) Marvin Jones (Eagles) Randall Cobb (Giants) Todd Gurley (Bills) David Johnson (49ers)

SCLSU MudDogs: Julian Edelman (Browns) Larry Fitzgerald (49ers) Carlos Hyde (Cardinals) Le'Veon Bell (Jets) Delanie Walker (Dolphins)

Wild Cards

No Soup For You: Cobb and Gurley step up?

SCLSU MudDogs: No Brees. Tough Matchups for Bell and Hyde. No Carson Palmer for Fitzgerald

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Leland wins 114-101
I Say: Leland wins. No 100% guarantees anymore. Leland's "path of destruction" hasn't exactly panned out like I thought it would as evidenced by his 2-2 record, but I still think he has the best roster in the league and I think his team will turn it around sooner than later. He takes on Alex, who he beat by half a point last year in Week 13 to knock him out of the playoffs. Again, roster wise Leland's blows Alex's out of the water this week (due to no Brees and Larry Fitzgerald's downgrade at QB tonight). I gotta go with Leland here.

Rocket Man (4-0) vs
THE SPOILER (2-2)

All Time Record
Eugene Leads Series 4-0

Key Players

Rocket Man: Aaron Rodgers (Giants) Julio Jones (Broncos) DeAndre Hopkins (Vikings) Melvin Gordon (Raiders)

THE SPOILER: Eddie Lacy (Giants) Ryan Matthews (Lions) Terrence West (Redskins)

Wild Cards

Rocket Man: Tough Matchups for Eugene's top two receivers.

THE SPOILER: Drew's entire team is a wild card

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Eugene wins 99-83
I Say: Eugene wins. After last week's shock...I'll give Drew's matchup the proper respect and do a write up on it. It still boggles my mind that Drew was able to win with the roster he has. Last week he did it without Eddie Lacy and Ryan Mathews, this week it'll be without Allen Robinson. Drew's only chance to win is for Eugene's team to underachieve dramatically. Drew can't win a shootout, but if Eugene's guys don't perform (which admittedly Julio and Hopkins have bad matchups on paper so it is a possibility) Drew might have a slight chance. I still think though Eugene should win this and keep his undefeated record.

Woe Is You (2-2) vs
Shock The Monkey (1-3)

All Time Record
Series is Tied 1-1 (Mike beat Mark in Round 1 of the 2013 Wane McGarity Bowl)

Key Players

Woe Is You: Derek Carr (Chargers) Odell Beckham Jr. (Packers) Stefon Diggs (Texans) C.J. Anderson (Falcons) Jordan Reed (Ravens)

Shock The Monkey: Jarvis Landry (Titans) Alshon Jeffrey (Colts) DeMarco Murray (Dolphins)

Wild Cards

Woe Is You: Beckham finally get it together? Diggs rebound?

Shock The Monkey: QB Play. Will DeAndre Washington dominate the work in Oakland?

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Mike wins 109-101
I Say: Mike wins. Again the question marks on Mark's team (Flacco and DeAndre Washington) could make or break him this week. Washington could break out and end up taking over the lead back position in Oakland or fall on his face and bust. Add that to taking a chance with Joe Flacco (the ULTIMATE hit or miss QB..one week he'll get ya 4 TD's...the next 0 with 2 picks) and Alshon Jeffrey's ineffectiveness so far and it's hard to pick Mark to win against a more stable well rounded team. Going with Posey here.

Week 4 Results: 2 Undefeated Teams Left

Kansas City Chiefs v Pittsburgh Steelers : News Photo
I'd have to look back, but I don't remember there being 2 undefeated teams left after 4 weeks of the season. Last year, me and Dad were 3-0 but we faced each other in week 4. This year, not only are Ryan and Eugene still undefeated, but they have relative juicy matchups next week and there's a great chance both will be 5-0 going into Week 6. There seems to be a clear divide in teams this year as it's pretty obvious what teams are championship contenders and what teams will be more than likely playing for the Michael Wiley Loser Bowl. 5 of the 6 playoff teams already have 2 game leads over everyone so it really seems like only 1 spot is open (as crazy as it sounds, I know it's early, but we all know for sure now Ryan and Eugene are making the playoffs purely based on their fast starts, and Leland and Mayra should be shoo ins as well, Albert seems like he's the best to get the 5 spot which leaves #6 open to 7 teams). Doesn't seem like there's going to be some dramatic ending to the season this year..which sucks for some of us who after Week 4 are basically an inch away from being finished for the year. Here are the results from week 4.

Hoosier Daddy (4-0)                 178.90
Bay Area Tanners (1-3)              60.94

First things first..up to Sunday Night, I was thinking of putting the blog on hiatus because honestly...this has been the least fun I've ever had playing Fantasy Football (and no, it's not completely because of my record, though losing by a fluke 61 yard TD last week and losing by 118 points this week certainly doesn't help) and I'm just at the point where week to week I question why I even play this game anymore. At the end, I'll probably give in and put myself through this bullshit another year, but this is honestly the first time I've realistically thought about taking a break for at least a year. The blog doesn't help when I'm losing so embarrassing like because I have to relive every loss as I type which just angers me even more so I thought maybe taking a break from at least the blog would possibly help. Anyways, I decided that I'd swallow what little pride I had left and do the blog only because it's not fair to Ryan to discredit what he did, especially since I've been saying on this blog how lucky his 3-0 start was and how it had to end sooner or later. I could've done the snarky two word summary like last week, but it would come across as total sour grapes and Ryan deserves recognition for setting some league records and starting 4-0 to the season. He's had a couple of bad seasons the past couple years, so why should I belittle and shit on his team when things are going right? So here we are and yeah....this week was the ultimate example of when things just all go your way. Ryan's 178.90 breaks the old record of 168 points (held by Leland) of most points scored in a game all time. What makes the record even more remarkable, is that when Leland set the record, we were using 9 spots because we had a kicker and defense, when we eliminated both and replaced it with one flex spot, it meant we were only using 8 players a game instead of 9. Ryan also set the record for Biggest Margin of Victory All Time (ironically Albert owned this against Ryan) and he shattered it as it was 102 points and is now 118 points. It also means that I own biggest Margin of Loss of All Time which goes nicely with my other shitty records of Biggest Losing Streak Of All Time and Most Losses In A Season All Time....I'm such a winner at this game right? Every single guy on Ryan's team went off...Ryan's lowest point contributor? Devonta Freeman with 13.40. Michael Crabtree of all people had 3 TD's and 30 points, Roethlisberger threw for 5 TD's and nearly 39 points, Steve Smith chipped in 21 points, John Brown chipped in nearly 20..Ezekiel Elliott has really woken up and proven why he's considered the "second coming" and scored 22 points..Mark Ingram nearly had 20 points and even spot start Hunter Henry had 14.10. It was knockout blow after knockout blow and it became just hilarious. I've never seen it in my life where literally every other minute Ryan's guys were scoring TD's. This was one of those weeks where no matter what I did, I was going to lose (that was obvious with my Thursday start) but what made it THAT much more worse was that my team didn't even put up a fight. Nobody did shit outside of LeSean McCoy. It's one thing to lose to a team scoring the most points ever...but to barely put up 60 fucking points is embarrassing and I feel like I should quit over just being an overall shitty fantasy football player. You don't lose by 118 fucking points..you just don't. Terrible doesn't even begin to describe. It's one of "those years"...when I suck...I SUCK...legendarily SUCK. That's what happens when it's week 4 and you're already depending on lottery ticket fucks like Dwayne Washington (Spoiler alert...he got hurt) and fill in's like Spencer Ware (who sucks and was NEVER going to realistically take Jamaal Charles spot) because you totally butchered your draft. My team...is not good. Part of it...not making excuses is matchup based too...I couldn't have picked a worse group of guys who had the most terrible matchups to start the season. Everyone talks about "well they have a great playoff schedule" what does THAT matter if YOU AREN'T GOING TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!?! Also, what has year in and year out always been an Achilles Heel of mine...QB play....I NEVER get it right.....EVER. Even when I won my title...it was DESPITE my QB..Matthew Stafford did his best to torpedo that. I hate when "experts" say don't take a QB early...WHY NOT??? When you don't...you get fucks like Eli Manning and Andy Dalton....who have combined for 2 TD's passes in 3 fucking WEEKS. I just...I fucked everything up beyond belief..and after week 4, I don't even think I have half my originally drafted team anymore. It's not going to get any better...I haven't had bye weeks start...I can't win with a full roster...when bye weeks come along?? Please...ain't happening. It is what it is...my team isn't good. DeAndre Hopkins is getting screwed since it looks like Brock Osweiler and Will Fuller are apparently fuck buddies and have amazing chemistry, my team is literally Mike Evans and LeSean McCoy..that's it (and Evans hasn't had a decent matchup all season yet and he STILL WON'T because he plays the Panthers next, I can't win with these fucking dreadful matchups). So enough of my whining...back to Ryan...he needed this as validation that his team is legit and it is. He might not have that "star" receiver, but his running back group is good enough that solid #2's and #3's like Crabtree and Steve Smith along with Big Ben are good enough to keep this team going. Ryan also couldn't ask for a better schedule (total record of teams he's played so far 4-12 and Dad and his 0-4 record are next) so it seems like a given he'll at least make the playoffs. He'll just have to hope it's sustainable against other playoff caliber teams...but after a performance like this...I think he'll be ok. Like I said he'll take on Dad next week while I take on Matt...at least I won't be Matt's first victim as he won this week, but I will be victim #2.

Light's Broken Bots (1-3)            86.76
SCLSU MudDogs (1-3)               77.58

This was ugly and just another bad loss for Alex, who with these past two matchups could be 3-1, instead of 1-3. Put in perspective..Ryan would've beaten both of these teams together by around 13 points. Matt got nothing from Gronk and Jamaal Charles (2.3 points total) and still got a much needed win to avoid going 0-4. Despite injury concerns, Russell Wilson had over 300 yards passing and 3 TD's. Isaiah Crowell continues to defy logic and produce nice RB1 numberes with over 100 and a score and Kelvin Benjamin and Allen Hurns both added TD's a piece. For Alex, opportunity missed even with Le'veon Bell back in the mix. The good thing is Bell looked great with 178 total yards, the bad news, the rest of his teams looked awful with the exception of Carlos Hyde who had 74 and a score. Alex has a super difficult matchup next week against Leland and he'll be without the services of Drew Brees who has a bye. If things go to plan (which we all know they don't but if they do) Alex might be staring at a 1-4 record. Matt will have a good chance to get win #2 against me and my struggling team next week.

Wow...if not for my epic 118 point loss...this would be the story of the week. This is hands down probably the 2nd biggest upset in our league behind Matt's championship win against Mayra. It wasn't pretty...but Drew somehow manages to get a win against a fully loaded Leland team with the likes of Tajae Sharpe, Cole Beasley, Terrance West, Bobby Rainey, Coby Fleener, and Kyle Rudolph. Just crazy....seriously crazy. Peterson's done for the year...Donte Moncrief is hurt for multiple weeks, Shane Vereen is done for the year, and Eddie Lacy and Ryan Mathews were both on byes and Drew still manages the impossible. I believe Drew was a 30 point dog in this matchup. Thanks to Kirk Cousins, Terrence West, Allen Robinson and Kyle Rudolph, Drew is 2-0 since the devastating Peterson injury. For Leland....man...bad loss..still not worried...but it's as bad a loss as you can have. Only Demaryius Thomas showed up for Leland and only Todd Gurley (just barely) and David Johnson scored more than 10 points along with Thomas. The only thing I can say is..this is better proof than Leland's first loss (against his undefeated Brother by only 4 points) that any team can beat any team on any given week. Drew's definitely playing the spoiler part very well. If Drew got knock off both Lawrence brothers back to back...it'd be the greatest feat in the league's history. He faces Eugene next week, while Leland takes on Alex in Week 5.

This was kind of over when A.J. Green exploded Thursday night, but for a small window in the London game Sunday Morning, Dad was actually favored as for 3 quarters Andrew Luck and TY Hilton were terrible and Frank Gore was having a great game for Dad....and then just like against me..Luck did his 4th quarter crap including a TD to Hilton and that was that. Albert never looked back. Will Fuller was a beast for him with 7 catches for 81 and a score. He also had a Return TD. Zach Miller added a TD, and Jordan Howard added 132 total yards in his first game as a starter for the Bears. For Dad, he just can't catch a break..it was actually a solid performance in a losing effort as he was actually the 4th highest scorer in the league this week...just played the wrong team. Cam Newton was disappointing and on top of that might have suffered a concussion which puts his Week 5 in danger. Brandon Marshall had a great game with 89 yards and a score and Emmanuel Sanders had 88 and a score as well. Greg Olsen got lucky with some garbage time points with 76 yards, a TD and a 2 point conversion. Even desperation play Orleans Darkwa had a TD for Dad but it just wasn't enough. So Dad remains the only winless team left in the league and it doesn't get any easier as he takes on Ryan next week. Albert has a tough matchup himself as he takes on Mayra in the battle of 3-1 records.

And Mayra's undefeated start to the season will stop at 3 as she loses pretty easily to Mike this week. It could've and should've been even worse but both Stefon Diggs and Odell Beckham Jr had terrible games for Mike and though it might not seem like a big deal, points are crucial so it was a big missed opportunity there. Seemed like Mayra was doomed from the start as she started an inactive Julius Thomas. For most of the London game though, it looked like it might not matter as Phillip Dorsett hadn't done anything of note....until the 4th quarter when Luck hit him with a 64 yard TD to save his day. Also what looked like a understandable move of the time, Mayra played Dak Prescott over Matt Ryan...Dak was good with nearly 250 yards and 2 scores but Matt Ryan WENT OFF against the Carolina D with 500 passing yards and 4 TD's! Again, one of those things were Fantasy Football is cruel because everyone expected Matt Ryan to struggle against the Carolina Defense. Matt Forte has definitely come back down to earth, as he was held to 27 rushing yards this week. That's two straight games he's been below average after a blazing start. Lamar Miller continues to get 1000 carries again but after 4 games still has 0 TD's. That's gotta be a little concerning, but at least he's still putting up yardage. Amari Cooper and DeSean Jackson have been struggling as well and it's scary to see Michael Crabtree getting a ton more red zone looks than Amari. Antonio Brown of course did his thing as usual...because he's Antonio Brown. He had 64 and 2 scores. I know Mayra's very disappointed in her team this week..but for her sake hopefully it's just one of those bad games that everyone has. For Mike, he bounces back thanks to Derek Carr (nearly 200 yards and 4 scores) and Jordan Reed (73 yards and 2 TD's). C.J. Anderson and Terrelle Pryor both chipped in TD's. Mike's gotta get more production from those wide receivers. Beckham's been mediocre all year, and Diggs has slowed down after his fast start. I think they can bounce back..but it's 4 games in now so you'd like to see signs of improvement fast. Regardless of the struggles, Mike is 2-2 and will take on Mark's struggling team next, while Mayra has another difficult matchup on the dock with Albert.

Ho hum...and between my implosion, Ryan's remarkable run, Leland's shocking loss, there's Eugene...just taking care of business, winning by over 60 points while putting up 140 without Aaron Rodgers and remaining undefeated. Wanna know why Eugene keeps Julio Jones every year? Sunday is EXACTLY why. 300 yards and a TD for a whopping 42 points. That's more than half of Mark's total team score. That guy is unreal. Melvin Gordon CONTINUES to produce high as he added two more TD's to his season total. Last year he had zero TD's. Even Matt Jones got into the act this week with 138 total yards and a score. Brock Osweiler did enough to hold the fort down with 254 and 2 scores (he did throw 2 picks too, but fuck it, he'll never be used again now). Travis Kelce got a garbage time TD and Maclin scored over 10 points and Eugene just keeps on trucking and beating everyone in sight. For Mark just another disappointing week scoring wise, though honestly I don't think he would've won this week regardless as Eugene's guys just went off. Carson Palmer has been a huge disappointment and is iffy for Week 5 with a possible concussion, only DeMarco Murray scored double digits outside of Palmer. Murray's been the only bright spot on Mark's team so far as he regained that RB1 status from his Dallas days. He had 95 rushing yards and 2 TD's. Alshon Jeffrey has been really disappointing, as has Latavius Murray he continues to lose work by the week. Hasn't been a great start to the season for the 2nd place finisher of last year. Mark will take on Mike next week in another tough matchup, while Eugene takes on Drew in which could be a trap game.
