I did some fact checking and indeed we've never been past week 5 of a season and still had two undefeated teams standing tall at the top of the mountain. In fact the most weeks we've ever had more than 1 undefeated team was 3 weeks last year. Yet here are with both Eugene and Ryan 5-0 and cruising along. Eugene isn't too shocking, Ryan though is the team I definitely thought would tail off. Not to discredit him but what's helping him so far is the strength of schedule and a little luck (he absolutely should've lost Week 3 to Alex) but hey we all need a little luck here and there. Next week will be a tougher test than Ryan's faced in a while as he'll take on Mayra, while Eugene has Alex's up and down squad who just outshot his brother for a nice win this week. Just an FYI, if the unthinkable happens and these two stay undefeated for 10 weeks, they finally go one on one in Week 11. Here's this week's results.

Albert continues to roll just behind the two undefeated teams as he easily gets a W against Mayra's semi struggling team. That Luck-Hilton combination has been dangerous and has led him to victory the past 3 weeks. They alone combined for over 52 points and it was enough to overcome Will Fuller's nonexistent game (less than a point) and A.J. Green's sub 10 point game. Also Albert found a gem in Bears running back Jordan Howard. He's looking like a legit RB1 and he put up 163 total yards and a TD. If Howard is this good, Albert's definitely got a team to contend with. LaGarrette Blount didn't do much but did score a TD and keep in mind this win was without Doug Baldwin (bye) and Doug Martin (hurt). Definitely not a team I'd like to face right now. For Mayra, Antonio Brown continues to be the anchor on her team and keep in her matchups, but Lamar Miller has pretty much been a bust considering the expectations for him. He finished with less than 25 yards total and still has not scored a TD all season. It's now 5 weeks in to the season so it is very alarming at this point. Also Matt Forte has completely come back down to earth after that hot two week start. That's 3 straight weeks of mediocre production and worries that his body just can't handle the workload he's been given are starting to look accurate. At least Amari Cooper finally had a dominant game with 138 and a score, his best game of the season by far. Hopefully that's a start of things to come. Mayra's next in line to take a shot at Ryan and his undefeated team next week, while Albert takes on Mike next week.

So I was wrong again....I thought this was a team you couldn't beat a shootout but Alex puts it the 2nd most points in the league this year and outshoots Leland after two straight disappointing weeks. This isn't a bad loss for Leland, his team did great...he put up the 3rd most points this week, he just ran into a buzz saw and there was nothing he could do. This had shootout implications after Thursday night, but it still looked like Leland had the upper hand. One of things you hate when you have a QB and your opponent has a skill position player on the same team is the possibility of your QB throwing TD's to that player and that's exactly what happened here. Stafford threw three TD's for Leland...but two of those were to Theo Riddick who Alex has. Marcos Mariota had been awful, but Alex had to start him this week due to Brees bye and wow did he wake the hell up. Mariota finished with 3 TD passes and another 60 yards on the ground and a rush TD. He more than made up for no Brees and now Alex has Brees the rest of the way. Travis Benjamin had 7 catches for 117 yards and like I said about Riddick he had 2 TD's and finished with a little over 23 points. Delanie Walker added a TD, and Le'Veon Bell is so damn good, he doesn't need to score to put up nearly 20 points for Alex. For Leland it was just bad luck as every guy on his team with the exception of Zach Ertz put up double digits. Todd Gurley, Demaryius Thomas, Marvin Jones all scored TD's and Randall Cobb finally woke up and had a 100 yard game. Still not worried about Leland and he's shown he can score points and the ship will turn around for him and he's got the best matchup he can have against me. It's soooooooo beyond predictable what's going to happen next week. Leland's lost two in a row and then he plays me, destroys me, and rights the ship. Alex has a tall task ahead of him next week as he takes on Eugene's undefeated team.

Not gonna spend much time on this. Drew is basically in "Mad Scientist" mode as he just trying out different combinations and seeing what sticks. Love that this approach has a better record than me, who spends hours upon hours on research, only to lose every single week. It worked for 2 games but didn't come close to working here. Paxton Lynch was his best play. For Eugene, it wasn't the best of games, but his team didn't have to do much anyways. Martellus Bennett (another one of my award winning moves..I cut him after 3 games) was his best play with 3 scores and nearly 28 points. Oh predictably, DeAndre Hopkins did good against a tough Vikings Defense and that's because he's not on my team anymore. Go figure...who saw that coming? I really hate this fucking crapshoot game with a passion. Rishard Matthews added a TD too. So Eugene takes his undefeated record against Alex, who just put up over 150 points without Drew Brees, while Drew takes on Mark.

So once again Bad QB play (Eli is such a wormhead piece of shit yet for like 3 outta the 4 last years he's been my fucking QB) killed me and predictably I lose again. I don't feel like going through my team's shit. Just know LeSean McCoy, Sammie Coates, and Mike Evans were great and everyone else sucked. For Matt, yup Brady/Gronk predictably were great, while of course he got the better of the Matt Asiata/Jerrick McKennon time share (love it, Asiata tripled McKennon's production because why not). Jordy Nelson scored a TD and TYRELL WILLIAMS (lmao) went off for 20 points. Just whatever, I'm just going through the motions at this point. No sense in pretending I'm going do anything but fail this year. This is a perfect time for Matt to get a full strength as he has another shot at a winnable matchup against my winless Dad, while I get slaughtered by Leland next week even though he's had two straight losses.

Just like last week, for a little while, this looked like Dad was going to possibly pull of the win, especially after Ryan's 1.6 John Brown start. Alas it didn't happen and Ryan's really piling up the points now, as he scored nearly 130 after nearly dropping 180 last week. The Freeman/Tevin Coleman combo defied odds against Denver's tough D and combined for 44 points. It's still shaky to go with this timeshare, as it could blow up anytime, but for now it's working. Zeke Elliott is proving to be a big time difference maker as he destroyed a pretty good Bengals defense with 171 total yards and 2 TD's. Guy's legit and well worth the #2 overall pick for Ryan. So the receivers didn't do much (Crabtree did score) but when you have Big Ben (380 yards and 4 TD's) and a pretty deep RB core (remember Mark Ingram was on bye), it hasn't hurt Ryan that much, though Steve Smith's injury might deplete his WR group even more. For Dad, it was another good performance, he's consistently putting up 100 point games, he's just facing high scoring teams. You can't even really say no Cam Newton hurt him much because Andy Dalton was pretty good (all garbage time, but in Fantasy Football that doesn't matter) with 24 points. Dad's RB situation is dreadful after whiffing on both Langford and Rawls. A oksih Frank Gore is his best back and after that just crapshoots. Greg Olsen continues to be the 2nd best tight end outside of Gronk and he went off with a career high 181 yards on 9 catches. He's so damn solid. Also Brandon Marshall was great with 114 and a score but it just wasn't enough to knock Ryan off. Dad will take on Matt next week, while Ryan has a tough matchup against Mayra next week.

Closest matchup of the week, as Mike just barely squeaks by Mark to go to 3-2 thanks to a Jacquizz Rodgers spot start. Rodgers finished with 129 total yards (on 30 rushing attempts!) to seal the deal. Other than that, Mike's team was pretty awful. Odell Beckham saved his day with a TD catch that was unbelievable. How he stayed inbounds I'll never know, but still he only had 56 yards and it's still concerning how shitty Wormhead Shitbag Eli is. When he goes down he takes the offense with him. Derek Carr continues to be solid as he threw for over 300 yards and 2 scores. The rest of Mike's team just couldn't get it going. For Mark it's just a whole lot of mediocrity. Jarvis Landry was shut down, Alshon Jeffrey continues to disappoint, and DeMarco Murray continues to be the only bright spot on what's been a pretty disappointing season so far. Injuries and busts have hurt him and he's depending on a lot of fringe inconsistent guys to lead him week to week. Mark vs Drew should be an interesting matchup as both teams are in disarray, while Mike taking on Albert's red hot team next week.
