For the most part the Giants were an embarrassment last night against the Eagles as Eli Manning looks beyond done and the defense played like absolute crap. The one lone bright spot was the continuing dominance of Saquon Barkley. Whether or not it made sense for the Giants to take him over a QB in the draft is irrelevant to our game..the dude is producing at an elite level and he's exactly what Dad was hoping for when he took him with the #1 overall pick in our fantasy draft. Saquon is a vastly talented athlete but what makes his situation THAT much better is the amount of work he's getting in the passing game. Eli Manning can't pass more than 10 yards seems like, so Barkley has become his safety valve as he just dumps pass after pass to him. It's just the perfect storm for a guy of Barkley's talent and even though the offense is a complete disaster, Barkley is immune. Barkley hasn't had a game under 17.8 yet and he eclipsed last week's season high in fantasy points with a 33.4 point performance in which he nearly had 100 receiving yards (99) and had 130 rush yards along with 2 scores. It's not only a great start for Dad against Drew, but it's definitely a great weapon to have when competing for a playoff spot in our league. Unfortunately for everyone who used Giants players, the results were awful. After showing why he's considered an elite fantasy option last week, OBJ regressed back to being disappointing thanks to his QB's shitty play. Beckham was held to 44 yards on 6 catches and as frustrated as he is, so is Albert. It really sucks, because it's not Beckham's fault at all...ELI IS THAT BAD and he simply just can't get the ball to Beckham. I really don't know what Albert can do with him, the consistency just won't be there but you can't bench him because I mean HE'S ODELL BECKHAM. This was the opening Eugene needed to get back on track, as one of Albert's best players posted a dud. Sterling Shepard didn't fair too much better for Ryan with only 3 catches for 37 yards. Ryan's playing the hottest team in the league right now against Mike and his 3 game winning streak squad and efforts like that definitely won't help matters. For Kenny, ho hum, Ertz scored a TD and he's just cruising in a no worry matchup against Alex. After the Ertz play, Kenny is STILL a 30 pt favorite. It was good news/bad news for Mark this week..good news..Alshon Jeffrey was GREAT..with 2 TD's and more than doubling his projected score. The bad news..he wasted a flex play in Wendell Smallwood, who we clearly outplayed by Corey Clement despite outsnapping him. Mark's still the favorite in his matchup, so it might not be a big deal in the long run, but it always sucks to waste a play on Thursday.
