Welp....don't stick a fork in me and Mark just yet as we both win and survive at least one more week. Realistically, it's going to be tough for either of us to make it to the playoffs. The odds are as tiny as can be, but hey, I'd rather be playing for a tiny chance than none at all. The only shitty thing is, the next loss will indeed officially knock us out and our schedules are not the greatest. At least we get one more week to gameplan though. Onto this week's results.

First of all, that has to be the worst 113 points I've ever seen put up, because I really felt outside of Evans, Winston and TIM HIGHTOWER of all people, my team severely underperformed. I covered the hot start I got from Evans and Winston and luckily it actually helped me get win #3. Picking up Hightower and starting him was a great move as he had over 100 total yards and a TD. Lance Kendricks was also a surprisingly solid start with 7 catches for 90 yards (though he did DROP A GIMMIE TD). Everyone else though? Meh. I've had the worst luck trying to get reclamation projects at WR. First it was DeAndre Hopkins...then Jordan Matthews and Jeremy Maclin...and now Brandon Marshall. Marshall was shit with only 45 yards against a shitty ass Miami Defense. Some of that is on Ryan Fitzpatrick but still..Alex not keeping him in the 5th round doesn't seem absurd anymore..he's basically a WR3 with WR2 ceiling now. Brandin Cooks..well..of course I traded for the wrong Saints fuck...Cooks was mediocre with 5 for 66 and Todd Gurley...yup he still sucks. Jerrick McKinnon was a JOKE with less than a point and I was legit angry and scared I was going to lose, especially when COLIN FUCKING KAEPERNICK went nuts in the first half of the Saints game. He had around 22 points BY THE HALF and the way that game was going..I thought for sure he was gonna get me for at LEAST 40. Saints defense is AWFUL. Luckily, they settled down and Kaepernick finished with "just" 24.72 points. Good lord, I hate when players like THAT go off against me. Allen Robinson, who has sucked most of the year, had his second best game of the season against me including a bullshit 1 yard TD, just like Kyle Rudolph had 1 yard TD. Those 1 yard TD's are soooooo frustrating because both times it took like 4 plays each to get them and of course they pass and get it to the guys I was playing against. Luckily for me Drew's team underperformed bad as Devontae Booker, despite a great matchup, was a bust, as was Terrance West. Drew tried to go cute with a last minute sub of C.J. Prosise over Cole Beasley and it didn't work. Beasley scored nearly 13 more points. It wouldn't have mattered much as far as winning the week, but Drew needs all the points he can get. His RB trio combined for less than 9 points. Brutal. Donte Moncrief was Ok with 55 and a score while Ty Montgomery barely hit double digits. All in All when you play with wildcards basically throughout your whole roster, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. It didn't this week, but that's not to say it won't in the future (because it already has 4 times). So yeah, this win keeps my season on life support for another week, which is great, I'd like to try to keep the inevitable from happening as much as I can, but it's going to be tough. I still don't know if Spencer Ware will be back, and I play Alex who alternates between good and bad weeks (guess what...bad week was this week, so I get "good week" Alex next week). For Drew, it's a bad but not season crippling loss. He might be the one team that would need 8 wins to get in, because his points are sorely lacking. Lucky for Drew, he's got Dad on the schedule next and that'll be as good a shot as any to bounce back.

Mayra's team is looking scary again, as her guys seemed to performing at a super high level the last 3 weeks and she's once again made a claim for being a title contender. There was nothing Eugene could do here, he actually scored the 2nd most points in the league this week....he just played the WRONG team as Mayra's squad put up nearly 160 points. She went for the throat early as her guys all went off at the same time. She already had her nearly 32 point Matt Ryan performance in the bag, but damn did her team play outstanding. 4 20 point plays including Ryan, plays of 16 and 18 points, and Amari Cooper was her worst guy (in a tough matchup against Denver) with 8.6. Matt Forte has been reborn yet AGAIN as he had 92 yards and a TD, while Antonio Brown got a late TD and caught 7 for 85. Golden Tate, who was a massive disappointment earlier in the season, has all of sudden become relevant again and he had 11 catches for 79 yards and a game winning TD. Jay Ajayi could be for Mayra what David Johnson was for Leland. He had another great game with 130 total yards and a score. Dude's been a beast and if Forte can keep playing like he is and Lamar Miller can somehow find his groove...this is a dangerous RB trio. JASON WITTEN turned back the clock and had one of the best games he's had in a LONG TIME with 134 yards and a score. The Browns were just letting Witten beat them all game long. Oh yeah...and Mike Wallace added a 95 yard TD to boot. It was just one of those weeks. Like I said for Eugene, it wasn't a disappointing loss at all. Nothing you can do when a team goes off like that. Melvin Gordon CONTINUES to amaze and there's no doubts anymore. He's a legit RB1. He had nearly 200 yards rushing, 65 yards receiving, and a TD. A little over 34 points for him. Just crazy. Rishard Matthews of all people added 6 for 63 and 2 scores, while Aaron Rodgers might not look great in real life..he's still getting it done in fantasy as he put up nearly 30 points with nearly 300 passing yards, 3 scores and 43 rush yards. Unfortunately, when you play a red hot team like Mayra's, you can't have any duds and the rest of Eugene's squad was just that. Devante Parker is officially a bust and is probably drop worthy. He's just not involved in the offense at all. Duke Johnson is Duke Johnson, Victor Cruz didn't do much and got hurt and Travis Kelce was decent but got ejected from his game. I feel bad for Mark, because he has to deal with Mayra's team next which pretty much ensures his season will end next week. Eugene gets to play Albert's squad, who even though he won (barely) has looked awful the past few weeks.

Mayra outscored both team COMBINED. This was UGLY and actually Albert should have easily won this week's matchup but his guys were TERRIBLE or average and thanks to LeSean McCoy and Doug Baldwin..he BARELY gets the win. Albert's gotta take this wins, because he needs everyone of them. His team has been playing pretty bad recently and he would been in some serious trouble had he lost. Nothing of note to talk about as Andrew Luck and Hilton sucked, he played an inactive Derrick Henry (to be fair, he got hurt in warmups, I didn't even know he was out until listening to Sirius XM this morning) and a shitty Mercedes Lewis and STILL WON. For Leland...ugh...he kinda figured after making the trade for A.J. Green he was going to lose..but he still had a shot at winning, so it has to be disappointing. Matthew Stafford was average, Marvin Jones has REALLY fallen off the map after a hot start (he only had one point). The only bright spot was Michael Thomas who had 73 yards and 2 scores. The good thing is..he's got A.J. Green and David Johnson the rest of the way so he should be able to bounce back from this. He'll take on Ryan next week in what should be a tough..but actually winnable matchup. For Albert, he's got Eugene next and I dunno...I don't see that ending well for him.

Sigh....this was closer than the score shows, but Tyrod Taylor was able to blow the doors open on this matchup and Dad stays winless and has now tied the worst losing streak in league history (with his son...how fitting) at 9. Pure disappointment all around once again. Cam has not been a great fantasy QB all year, Dad's receivers have been absymal (even if he still had Brandon Marshall...he sucked again) this week his running backs didn't come through (have no idea why Frank Gore wasn't in this lineup, no problem with playing Sproles, but somehow you gotta get Gore in that lineup, he's literally Dad's second best player). Just an awful performance. There will be one week where the stars align and Dad's guys go off and he wins (how much you WANNA BET it'll be against me when we play in Week 12)..but we're running out of weeks. For Mark, at least it he didn't revert back to sub 80 point scoring after his win, but it wasn't the greatest performance. Outside of Tyrod Taylor (289 yards and a TD pass, 43 yards and a rush TD) Latavius Murray (who would've THOUGHT he'd go off against Denver, the 3 1 yard TD's are a bit ridiculous he did have 114 rushing yards too) and DeMarco Murray (once again beasting, it's a shame Mark's receivers have been disappointing, his team is NOT that bad) literally not one guy scored over 4.8 points. Those 3 did just enough to take care of Dad. So Mark, like me, gets a one week breather and extends his season by a week but he's got a super tough test next week in Mayra. Once again, if you're going to play anyone in the league, you should want to play Me, Mark, and I believe Drew in that order...well Dad gets Drew next and though it'll be a tough matchup again...he'll have somewhat of a chance to stop the bleeding and get the win.

This got semi interesting last night as Russell Wilson was having an outstanding first first half (I believe he already had 25 points at half) and with Christine Michael doing little to nothing (He scored a 1 yard TD, but that's it) there was legit worry that Matt might be able to do the impossible and make a full comeback. Last night's game wasn't supposed to be a shootout but it was. Unfortunately, Russell Wilson didn't do much in the 2nd half and only scored about 3 more points as Ryan survives and gets win #8 and now 100% secures a playoff berth. Ryan had to be a little nervous about Mark Ingram after last week's nightmare, but guess what? Ingram more than bounced back. Facing a shitty 49ers defense, Ingram went OFF with 168 total yards and two scores. Hopefully for Ryan's sake, last week's benching was a wake up call and he'll play more like this the rest of the year because Ryan's going to need him. Greg Olsen did what Ryan got him to do..catch passes and score TD's. He had 52 and a score. Philip Rivers was decent with 275 passing yards and 2 Passing TD's, while Kenny Britt added a TD. Zeke Elliott..what can you say? CONTINUES to just look like an unstoppable bad ass. He crushed the Browns shit defense with 92 yards and a score and had the game not been a total blowout, he probably could've done more damage. For Matt, a crushing loss, but some silver lining as Jordy Nelson looks like he's back on track after that bizarre 1 catch game. He had 7 catches for 94 and a score. Tyrell Williams continues his erratic play as he did good this week with 65 and a score. Kelvin Benjamin was ok, no TD's, but 7 catches for 76 yards. The big disappointment was Charcandrick West...with literally nobody fighting him for carries in a prime matchup, West was medicore finishing with only 74 total yards (and some of it came on the final play of the Chiefs final drive). What also hurt Matt was Allen Hurns getting concussed and putting up a zero. The loss hurts, but it doesn't knock Matt out of the playoff race at all, he's still very much alive. He'll take on Mike Posey next week, while Ryan's got a tough matchup against Leland.

And Alex's team continues this weird good game/bad game week thing by reverting back to a very bad game. To be fair he was without Larry Fitzgerald, Julian Edelman (to byes) and Carlos Hyde (to injury) but I still thought he'd have enough firepower to beat Mike and his injury ravaged team. Outside of Drew Brees who once again had his typical elite QB game with nearly 325 passing yards and 3 Passing TD's, no one else did much of note, including Le'Veon Bell who had his worst game of the season with only 70 yards of total offense. Delanie Walker had a TD, but only 42 yards receiving and that's really all there is to talk about on Alex's side. For Mike, despite the injuries piling up, he still manages to keep winning. He did with a bad Derek Carr performance (not even 8 points) and Jonathan Stewart held to 42 rushing yards. Stefon Diggs was great with 13 catches for 80 yards, while Terrelle Pryor continues to be a solid fantasy receiver with 47 and a score. Antonio Gates was a great pickup with 75 and a score and Odell Beckham only had 46 yards, but had two TD's to go with it. All in all it was just a solid team effort as no one had a jaw dropping game. Mike will take on Matt next week, while Alex hope the arrow falls on "good game" against me.
