Honestly, one of the little things I like about the playoffs is I only do write ups on two matchups instead of six. Easy to whip these posts out. So Ryan and Eugene get the week off and patiently wait to see who they will be facing next week. For Mayra, Albert, Mike, and Alex it's go time, sudden death starts NOW. Let's see how the matchups look for Round 1 of the 2016 Wane McGarity Bowl Playoffs

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Alex wins 114-112
I Say: Mayra wins. These two have had slugfests twice this season, with Mayra taking week 1 in a 137-131 shootout and Alex returning the favor two weeks ago and winning in convincing fashion 125-92. These two teams are definitely capable of putting up some major points as evidenced by the high prediction. Yahoo has Alex as a 2 point favorite so it's very slim, but I'm actually going to give Mayra the tiny bit edge here. I just overall, like her team as a whole better, and the numbers haven't lied in years, Drew Brees typically underachieves on the road. Alex really needs him to buck that trend to have a chance here. I expect this to be high scoring once again, but Mayra gets takes the rubber match and advances to Round 2 against Eugene.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Albert wins 108-99
I Say: Albert wins. So Mike did beat Albert back in Week 6 and so that's basically the blueprint he needs to score the upset here. He needs Albert's guys to crap the bed like they did in Week 6 and you never know, it could happen. Now in the past 9 weeks, Mike's only scored 100 or more points 3 times, including last week's super disappointing 71 point performance, so Mike's guys also have to really get it together and exceed expectations. I don't wanna do the whole "it's a lock" thing because that usually blows up in my face. I just think if Albert's guys keep playing like they have been the past 3 weeks, Albert should be able to win this matchup and advance to take on Ryan.
