Week 4 Results: Jumbled Mess

So after 4 weeks we basically have one undefeated team, two 3-1 teams, and 9 teams 2-2 and 1-3. So basically..it's a free for all outside of the top 3. It seems like the herd is separating as Mayra and Eugene continue to look dominant week in and week out, while Albert quietly has also compiled a 3-1 record despite having weeks of no A.J. Green, Arian Foster, and a bye depleted week of no Peyton, A.J. or Harvin. Should be interesting to see how this season goes as honestly every team that's 2-2 and 1-3 have glaring weaknesses and I could see all us just beating each other up until the end of the season. Here are the results of Week 4.

Rocket Man (3-1)               107.5
Shock The Monkey (1-3)     86

Eugene continues to have no problem disposing of opponents as he gets win #3 with relative ease. There was a little scare during the day, but down 5 Sunday night, Eugene was able to get yet another superstar performance by DeMarco Murray who looks without a shadow of a doubt like the best running back in the game today. He finished with 149 rushing yards and two more TD's for 26.5 points. Eugene ended up surviving the terrible Cousins game thanks to Lamar Miller's 2 TD's, and Martellus Bennett's monster game of 9 catches for 134 yards. It's crazy to think Eugene doesn't even bother to use 3 of his top picks. Shane Vereen, Jordan Cameron, and Cam Newton have pretty much rode the pine most of the season for him and he STILL dominates. Julio Jones had 80 yards and double digit fantasy points as well. For Mark..just not enough firepower. Dwayne Allen and Mike Wallace both scored but didn't do really much else yardage wise. Matt Ryan had another 20 point performance and Matt Forte finally showed some signs of life with a nice game (171 total yards) but that was about it offensively for Mark who starts the season a disappointing 1-3 and now has to face Mayra's undefeated team next. Eugene will take on my Dad next week.

Game MVP
DeMarco Murray (Rocket Man)
149 rushing yards, 2 rushing TD's, 1 reception 6 yards, 26.5 points
Romo, Murray lead Cowboys past Saints 38-17

Woe Is Me (1-3)           99.5
Arturo's Beans (2-2)      91

Just whatever my team sucks...period. Another matchup I should have won with ease and another wasted opportunity and now..just in the land of mediocrity and the real sense of this being a lost season after only 4 weeks. 3 in game injuries to starters (and another to Mike Evans on my bench) and LeSean McCoy just completely looking like an undrafted rookie free agent for the past two weeks has just killed me and my confidence. Forget repeating...this team doesn't look like a playoff team at all. I had the advantage the first wave of games as Matthew Stafford was great with nearly 300 passing yards, 2 Passing TD's, and a rushing TD and amazingly none of it to Calvin (So Kenny survives No Demaryius and Calvin being a decoy...naturally because he's playing me it works out), Randall Cobb had over 100 and 2 scores, and Brandon Marshall scored a TD. You know what the turning point was though? It wasn't Reggie Wayne FINALLY just breaking out and going off for 119 and a score for 20.5 points. It wasn't that cheap ass Coby Fleener touchdown at the 2 with the game out of reach (Thanks Luck...asshole). It was the V-Jax TD to win the game against the Steelers. Right then and there I felt the momentum swinging and swing it did. Gore caught a bullshit broken 55 yard pass for a TD which because Kenny had Kaepernick meant he double dipped and though Keenan Allen tried as hard as he could his 135 receiving yards were just not enough when LeSean McCoy plays like a pile of shit for the 2nd straight game. Two games. 3 points combined. That's beyond irritating and unacceptable. Fuck "the O'Line isn't healthy" bullshit. Who cares..great players overcome less than ideal situations and McCoy totally looks lost out there. By the time he "gets it" it might be too late. Vernon Davis got hurt again too not that it matters. I swear he must have killed one of Kaep's relatives or maybe he made fun of Kaep's tats on Twitter because Kaep IGNORES HIM on pretty much EVERY FUCKING PLAY. Considering how big a target he is..it's beyond frustrating. Down 3, Kenny had Knile Davis left and of course Davis gets that on one run. No excuses for being 2-2..I deserve to be 1-3 since that win against Eugene was the biggest crock of the season..deserve to lose that one (but no, fuck morals..not like I'm gonna change the outcome of that just because). Like I said 2-2...just whatever..on to 2-3 when Albert kicks the crap outta me. Can't wait to start Jerick McKennon (on A THURSDAY nonetheless, good lord) and get his 3.5 points and John Brown and his 4 points (if I'm lucky). So to recap, Kenny cries wolf too early (which is his thing..it never fails after we enforce a "no texting" policy it only takes a minute before Randall Cobb catches a motherfucking pass I get a text proclaiming that I won only for the "oh my god I can't believe this is happening miracle win, you should've won and there was no way in a zillion years I should've ever won because it's the biggest upset ever in the whole entire fantasy universe, in fact I'm gonna write Yahoo and send this matchup off so they post it as the biggest comeback of all time and I do all these theatrics to make you feel even worse and feel like shit" spiel) his season is saved and he lives happily ever after while his team rallies to make a playoff push. Woo fucking hoo.

Game MVP
Frank Gore (Woe Is Me) (The biggest underdog performance in NFL history because ya know...Frank Gore is a shitty back and could never in a million years score 20+ points, even though he's a real good fast durable back who only has "sucked" recently because of lack of carries..but ya know #BIGGESTUPSETEVERRR so whatever).
119 miracle rushing yards, 1 immaculate reception, 55 spectualar unfathomable yards, 1 historic TD where the ball is going to Canton to commemorate Kenny's upset victory in Week 4 of the 2014 season
Gore powers 49ers past Eagles to avoid 3-game skid
(Never seen Frank Gore score in my life..like an asteroid would hit me before Frank Gore would ever score cause poor underdog Kenny uses him as his #1 RB #BIGGESTUPSETEVERRRR)

NEXT!!!!!!! (2-2)               115.5
The Bad Robofies (2-2)         97

This was actually closer than the score indicates and Dad was actually in the driver's seat only down 4 going into Monday Night with Tom Brady vs Travis Kelce. Even with Brady's recent struggles, you would think he'd be able to outscore a tight end right??? WRONG. Brady was awful again and thanks to costing my Dad a crucial win, to the bench he goes. I criticized Dad's decision to draft a backup QB so early, but it's now justified as Dad will get to use Russell Wilson from this point forward. Kelce was great with 93 receiving yards and a TD. Keep in mind, he doesn't even play all snaps, he can get better. The big play though for Leland that got him the win was Matt Asiata of all people. He might not be flashy, but he scored 3 TD's and had 28.5 points in a huge effort. Aaron Rodgers was also Aaron Rodgers as he picked apart the Bears Defense with 300 yards and 4 TD's. I tell you Leland's team is just so hard to predict because you never know outside of Rodgers who's gonna produce. Doug Martin was kinda bla but did contribute a TD. For Dad, he had a GREAT Sunday night with Terrence Williams scoring 2 TD's  with 22 points overall and Jimmy Graham got some garbage yards and a TD for 16 points (he did lose a fumble). Heath Miller was actually a great start as well with 85 and a score. It would've been a great win for Dad who didn't have Gio Bernard who was on bye, but on the flip side it was a critical win for Leland who would've gone 1-3 had he lost. Leland takes on Kenny next week while my Dad has to take on the other Lawrence brother, Eugene.

Game MVP
Aaron Rodgers (NEXT!!!!!)
302 Passing Yards, 4 Passing TD's, 28 points

Channel 4 News Team (3-1)           99
Winter Is Here (1-3)                       86.5

It's kinda fitting Albert has Steve Smith on his roster. Pretty much everyone wrote off Smith as any kind of fantasy asset and so far every week he's proven all the doubters wrong. All this talk about Mayra and Eugene dominating the league, Albert just keeps winning as well. The former 2 time Wane McGarity Bowl Champion is silently sitting at 3rd place and he does it with weeks without players like Arian Foster, A.J. Green and this week alone he had no Green, Peyton Manning or Percy Harvin. It still worked out to his advantage thanks to the aforementioned Steve Smith. Smith, against his former team, ripped them for 139 yards a two TD's. A man on a mission, just like Albert, who's looking to get to his 4th title game and if his team keeps playing at this high level...he might just do that. It helps to have a great backup in Philip Rivers to rely on. Rivers did his job beautifully with 377 yards and 3 TD's. Now it's Peyton's job the rest of the way. Everyone else was pretty mediocre or downright ineffective (Cordarrelle Patterson isn't looking like that breakout star that everyone thought he'd be) but despite that Albert still picked up win #3 and has his top guns back for the duration of the season.  For Alex, he actually had some hope going into Monday night. 27 points from Gronk and Ridley wasn't impossible. Unfortunately, that offense was just terrible, and a late Gronk TD made the score look a little closer. Alex had a nice play in Eddie Royal in a losing effort. He had 105 yards and two TD's. T.Y. Hilton had a nice yardage game with 105 yards, and while Brees had 340 and 2 Passing TD's, I think many thought he'd be able to have a bigger game against that Cowboy defense. Albert takes on me next, while Alex will face Matt next.

Game MVP
Steve Smith Sr. (Channel 4 News Team)
7 catches, 139 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD's, 28.5 points

Dr. Light's Robots (2-2)                146
JTG's Warehouse (2-2)                  80.5

Blowout of the week as Matt's team was just ON this week. It was over Thursday when Larry Donnell scored 3 TD's. Matt had 4 players that scored 21 points or more lead by the returning Jamaal Charles who yep...he's back. 92 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown and 2 receiving TD's for 29.5 points. Just flat out amazing, and if THAT Jamaal Charles is back...here comes Matt. Alex Smith so far has filled in admirably so far as Matt's QB. He had 248 passing yards and 3 TD's. Jordy Nelson continues to be in the conversion as best WR (along with Antonio Brown) as he continues to get a ton of targets and yards. 108 yards and 2 TD's this week. Even TRENT RICHARDSON decided to show up and have his best game of the season by far. He had 99 total yards and a TD. Sammy Watkins ALSO chipped in a TD. Only Andre Johnson and Donald Brown (who had a gimmie matchup...so disappointing, though it doesn't matter) didn't contribute much to the win. For Drew, it's just big time obvious how much losing Adrian Peterson is affecting his team. Not to mention that fact that Julius Thomas and Andre Ellington were both on byes and it just never was even close to being competitive. The only bright spot is that Kelvin Benjamin continues to look like a legit star as he pulled in 60 and a score. The only other one worth mentioning is Golden Tate who took advantage of Megatron being a decoy by hauling in 8 catches for 116 yards. Matt gets Alex next, while Drew takes on Ryan.

Game MVP
Jamaal Charles (Dr. Light's Robots)
92 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, 3 receptions, 16 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD's, 29.5 points

Bigger Balls (4-0)               121
Hoosier Daddy (1-3)            65.5

Ho hum..Mayra wins again. It's funny how a 55.5 point win just gets overshadowed, but I guess it's just becoming the norm now. Mayra easily extends her winning streak to 4-0 and here's the thing..who's gonna stop her? Now due to the nature and unpredictability of Football, her loss will probably be random and unexpected...it always is, but seriously if you look at the schedule..on paper..there's just no team in the next few weeks that looks like a credible challenger. It shouldn't be Mark..nor Drew..doubt it's Alex, sure as shit won't be me that's for fucking sure..Leland..man I doubt it.that leads to Week 10 against Eugene. Like I said...it's too unpredictable..and someone out of that group will pull off the upset, but it's not entirely crazy to think Mayra could start out 9-0 (breaking a record shared by Mark and Matt for best start at 5-0 and also breaking my Dad's record of most wins in a row which is 8). Andrew Luck has so far been ELITE and he had just another magnificent performance. Almost 400 yards passing and 4 TD's. Antonio Brown..he's the best receiver in football...no doubt anymore. He added 131 yards and 2 more TD's to an already impressive resume. DeAndre Hopkins, Dez, and Ahmad Bradshaw all chipped in and scored TD's and scored double digit fantasy points, while even a "quiet" Le'Veon Bell game provided 13 points. For Ryan..he was DOA from the get go after the disappointing Rashad Jennings/Garcon start. The good news? Eddie Lacy scored? The bad news? He still looks like plodding shit. Yardage was barely there, a short yardage TD salvaged his day. Nick Foles was AWFUL..NO TD'S AND 2 PICKS. Alshon was bla but did score a TD..the yardage wasn't there though. Roddy White was the best of the bunch with 73 and a score. Been a disappointing start for a team that highly regarded by both me and Yahoo. Mayra looks to tie the best start record against Mark next, while Ryan takes on Drew in the battle of two underachieving teams.

Game MVP
Antonio Brown (Bigger Balls)

Thursday Night Overview/Week 3 Awards

Donnell catches on as Giants rout Redskins 45-14

Every year there's a random off the radar guy that makes a splash in fantasy football. In the past it's been guys like Victor Cruz, Randall Cobb but the past couple of years it's been tight ends. Last year it was Julius Thomas, this year so far it's looking like Giants TE Larry Donnell. Donnell started the season off right with a TD and though most thought it might have been a garbage time fluke, so far it's not looking like it. Case in point, last night when Eli found him in the endzone 3 TIMES...it could've been a 4th too. Matt's the lucky beneficiary of Mr. Donnell's great game, and I'd be surprised if Matt didn't win now and go to 2-2. There were some hits and misses in this game. If you started  Washington players...man it was brutal. The Thursday Night Curse fucking LIVES ON for me. I swear it's real. Outside of opening day and Thanksgiving, Thursday games are always BRUTAL for me. Injuries ALWAYS happen. Look already! In two weeks I've lost two guys to injures. Niles Paul got absolutely destroyed and knocked out late in the 1st half after catching a ball and was concussed. He at least finished with 60 yards, but the "what could've been" question sucks as I think he would've had a fine game had he played the whole game. Call that lucky break #1 for Kenny, who needs all the breaks he can get to avoid an 0-4 start. For my Dad, Alfred Morris had a rushing TD thankfully, but when the Redskins were in comeback mode it was Roy Helu getting all the work. That's going to happen all the time in these situations, just have to hope Alfred does enough, and he did this time. Mark has the daunting task of facing Eugene this week and it's a good news bad news thing. The good news is that Kirk Cousins was downright AWFUL. He looked terrible, made horrible throws and had 5 turnovers. Bad play, but at least Eugene has Cam Newton in his arsenal who Eugene has yet to start after 4 weeks. The bad news for Mark is Victor Cruz was great again for 6 receptions and 108. If he's back to form. this team got even more dangerous. Even with the bad Cousins start, Eugene is still predicted to win. Alex had it real bad, as DeSean Jackson did basically nothing. 1 catch for 9 yards. A measly half a point. Not good. Ryan's guys were pretty bad as well as Rashad Jennings wasn't needed much in this blowout and only had 55 rushing yards while Pierre Garcon was tied to Cousins' shitty performance and had only 2 catches for 28 receiving yards. I initially picked  Ryan to win, but after this start, no doubt Mayra's coming out of this 4-0. Leland actually got a productive game from Rueben Randle who had 8 receptions for 89 yards. Week 3 award time.

Wane McGarity Stud Of The Week
Julio Jones (Rocket Man)
Falcons' Julio Jones Makes Incredible over-the-Head TD Catch vs. Buccaneers

The guys beat my ENTIRE TEAM last week. Julio is proving that when healthy, he's without a doubt a top tier elite tight end.

Michael Wiley Dud Of The Week
Arturo's Beans

32 pts..fuck em all they deserve this

Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award
Isaiah Crowell (Channel 4 News Team)

It was a mere hours before game time when it was announced Arian Foster was going to be inactive because of a nagging hamstring injury. Albert really didn't have much to chose from on his roster and took a gamble on undrafted rookie free agent and Browns back up Isaiah Crowell. It was a great move as Crowell ended up with 55 and a score. It was a major factor in helping Albert go to 2-1 by beating Drew.

Tony Romo Bad Decision Award
Alex Plays Khiry Robinson over Reggie Bush

Like Drew last week, this play didn't end up affecting the outcome of the game, but it was curious decision nonetheless. Not that Bush is all world, but I would think you'd still start him over the unheralded Khiry Robinson. Bush ended up with a score and 18 fantasy points while Robinson posted a mere 6.

Week 4 Matchups and Predictions

One team is looking to stay perfect while another is looking to get their first win. Then there's everyone in between. That's where we are before Week 4 kicks off tomorrow night. Here are the Matchups and Predictions for the upcoming week.

Arturo's Beans (2-1) vs
Woe Is Me (0-3)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: We are tied 4-4
Last Matchup: I beat Kenny 104-76.5 in The Wane McGarrity Championship Game

Key Players
Arturo's Beans: Matthew Stafford (Jets) Randall Cobb (Bears) Brandon Marshall (Packers) Keenan Allen (Jaguars) LeSean McCoy (49ers) Vernon Davis (Eagles)

Woe Is Me: Colin Kaepernick (Eagles) Calvin Johnson (Jets) Vincent Jackson (Steelers)

Wild Cards
Arturo's Beans: Hangover effect from last week's disaster. Tough Matchup for Joique Bell. Brandon Marshall's health

Woe Is Me: No Demaryius. Status of Arian Foster determines if Alfred Blue plays. Multiple shots in the dark plays.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: I win 95-82
I say: Kenny wins, when you score 32 fucking points in a week, you tend to lose a lot of confidence and faith in your team. Now I don't believe I'll score that low again, but I'll believe it when I see it about reaching my projection. This is the biggest rivalry of the league and this is our 9th matchup with the series tied. This is probably, outside of last year's championship, the biggest game of the rivalry as Kenny's season is basically on the line. It's hard enough to start 0-3, but 0-4? That'll be damn near impossible to overcome. My gut tells me though, somehow, things will work out and Kenny will get his first win here. I envision underperformances galore on my side. I hope I'm wrong naturally, but my confidence is at an all time low right now. Picking purely on a gut feeling.

The Bad Robofies (2-1) vs
Next!!! (1-2)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Dad leads series 2-1
Last Matchup: Dad beat Leland 69-68.5 in Week 6 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
The Bad Robofies: Tom Brady (Chiefs) Alfred Morris (Giants) Jimmy Graham (Cowboys)

Next!!!: Aaron Rodgers (Bears) Doug Martin (Steelers)

Wild Cards
The Bad Robofies: Brady's struggles. No Gio Bernard. Production from receivers

Next!!!: Unpredictability at all positions outside of Rodgers.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Leland wins 87-83
I Say: Dad wins. This is very difficult to predict. Leland has a team full of high risk high reward players who's floor is low but ceiling is high. It's not entirely inconceivable that guys like Brandin Cooks and Justin Hunter go off or just have off games. Honestly, Dad's team isn't much easier to predict. I just feel he's got a couple better concrete plays. Just picking an upset here, but wouldn't be surprised who wins honestly.

Rocket Man (2-1) vs
Shock The Monkey (1-2)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Mark leads series 1-0
Last Matchup: Mark beat Eugene 114.5-98 in Week 4 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
Rocket Man: Kirk Cousins (Giants) Julio Jones (Vikings) Victor Cruz (Redskins) Jeremy Maclin (49ers) DeMarco Murray (Saints) Martellus Bennett (Packers)

Shock The Monkey: Matt Ryan (Vikings) Michael Crabtree (Eagles) Matt Forte (Packers)

Wild Cards
Rocket Man: Cousins over Cam. Lamar Miller encore

Shock The Monkey: Forte's struggles. RB, TE, weakness

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Eugene wins 102-90
I Say: Eugene wins. Last time these two played each other, Mark was in the middle of his 5 game winning streak. Different circumstances here as Eugene is clearly the more dominant team. He should be able to handle this matchup with ease, as he has a lot more weapons at his disposal than Mark.

Channel 4 News Team (2-1) vs
Winter is Here (1-2)

No Matchup Stats

Key Players
Channel 4 News Team: Philip Rivers (Jags) Cordarrelle Patterson (Falcons) Arian Foster* (Bills)

Winter is Here: Drew Brees (Cowboys) DeSean Jackson* (Giants) Rob Gronkowski (Chiefs) Reggie Bush (Jets)

Wild Cards
Channel 4 News Team: AJ Green, Peyton Manning on bye. Health of Arian Foster. Reliance on older veteran receivers. Running back depth weak.

Winter is Here: Marshawn Lynch on bye. DeSean Jackson status. Running back production. Eddie Royal WR #3.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Albert wins 90-89
I Say: Alex wins, though a lot hinges on Arian Foster's health. I think if Foster sits yet again, Albert is going to lose by a wider margin. Both teams have injury/bye week problems. I think there is a little more promise on Alex's side. Of course if for some reason DeSean Jackson doesn't play, that could turn the tide as well.

JTG's Warehouse (2-1) vs
Dr. Light's Robots (1-2)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Drew leads series 3-2-1
Last Matchup: Drew beat Matt 94.5-93.5 In Week 12 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
JTG's Warehouse: Jay Cutler (Packers) Julian Edelman (Chiefs) Kelvin Benjamin (Ravens)

Dr. Light's Robots: Jordy Nelson (Bears) Andre Johnson (Bills) Jamaal Charles (Patriots)

Wild Cards
JTG's Warehouse: WR Production, RB Production

Dr. Light's Robots: Jamaal Charles' Health. Donald Brown workload.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Matt wins 105-81
I Say: Matt wins, Got to agree with Yahoo here as Matt looks like he has the better team. Drew losing Adrian Peterson was huge, and I just don't see a Chris Ivory, CJ Spiller combo making up for this slack. I think Matt's able to even his record at 2-2 here.

Bigger Balls (3-0)  vs
Hoosier Daddy (1-2)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Ryan leads series 3-0
Last Matchup: Ryan beat Mayra 95-86.5 in Week 7 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
Bigger Balls: Andrew Luck (Titans) Dez Bryant (Saints) Antonio Brown (Bucs) Le'veon Bell (Bucs)

Hoosier Daddy: Nick Foles (49ers) Alshon Jeffrey (Packers) Pierre Garcon (Giants) Roddy White (Vikings) Eddie Lacy (Bears) Rashad Jennings (Redskins)

Wild Card
Bigger Balls: Production from Sproles/Bradshaw

Hoosier Daddy: Roddy White 100%. Eddie Lacy's struggles. Alshon Jeffrey's health.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Mayra wins 99-94
I Say: Ryan wins, going a bit of an upset here as I think Ryan actually has the personnel to pull this off. It sucks that he has two Thursday Night plays, where guys typically play worse, but I still think Garcon and Jennings won't be that bad. Remember, I believed Ryan had one of the better teams in the league after the draft, so it's fathomable he can be the one to stop the streak.

Week 3 Results: Queen Of The Mountain

It didn't take long at all to dwindle down the number of undefeated teams to one. After the horrific gutless balless effort my team put out and Drew's loss, there's only one 3-0 team in the league. That team belongs to....Mayra. Thanks to a combination of great keepers (There was a reason I coveted Antonio Brown so much) excellent drafting (Le'Veon Bell in the 3rd round is looking like a downright steal right now) and depth (Mayra's bench goes off EVERY WEEK) Mayra stands alone as the #1 team in the league. I honestly believe it's no fluke either. If Mayra's team stays healthy..she's no doubt one of the favorites to win it all. So congrats to being the only perfect team in the league Mayra..just know everyone's going to be gunning for you now!! Onto the Week 3 results

Bigger Balls (3-0)            111.50
Dr. Light's Robots (1-2)     79

Right now..there's just nothing you can do to stop Mayra's team. It's that good. Matt was already at a disadvantage with no Jamaal Charles and no RGIII, along with a mediocre Bobby Rainey game in tow (a week after he was great). It was a valiant effort, but it wasn't even close to being enough as Mayra's big 4 combined for 90 of her 111.5 points. Andrew Luck was amazing (4 TD's, 370 yards passing) Dez was great too with a long TD, but the most impressive performances was her Steelers combo of Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown. Both proved to be matchup proof as they ripped apart one of the best defenses in the league. Brown had 10 receptions for 90 yards and 2 scores and he's just the perfect wide receiver for fantasy. He gets it all...catches, yards, and TD's..legit argument for best wide receiver going today. Bell ripped off a huge 81 yard run on his way to 147 rushing yards. Even Ahmad Bradshaw chipped him with 60 rushing yards and a receiving TD. Mayra's a force to be reckoned with and has to be considered a heavy favorite to win it all at this time. For Matt, Jordy Nelson and Andre Johnson were major disappointments with the only bright spots being a solid Alex Smith fill in performance, an Emmanuel Sanders 11 catch 149 yard performance, and a decent performance from Zac Stacy who had 121 total yards. Hopefully Matt gets Jamaal Charles for next week's matchup with Drew, while Mayra looks to go 4-0 against Ryan next week.

Game MVP
Andrew Luck (Bigger Balls)
370 Passing Yards, 4 Passing TD's, 15 rushing yards, 31 points

Winter Is Here (1-2)            106.5
Baby Face Bybee (0-3)          70

Ok...it's time to panic. The most disappointing team in the league right now. Before the season, Kenny was the hands down favorite to win the whole league based on his two keepers alone. Now at 0-3, there's a very good chance Kenny won't even make the playoffs. What a disaster. Thanks to injuries, bad spots in the draft, and underperformances from his two keepers have been major factors for his winless season so far. This week was no different. The only bright spot was Knile Davis, who had 132 rushing yards and a TD, but even that will be short lived because there's a great chance Jamaal Charles comes back next week. Demaryius was awful yet again and Calvin Johnson only had 82 yards receiving yards. Kenny still has a QB problem as Romo just hasn't been the Romo people were expecting, though he admittedly did play the best he's played all season. Kenny also lost Dennis Pitta for the season, so add that to the list. Just a nightmare for Kenny. Alex gets his first win and does it despite a late switch of Khiry Robinson for Reggie Bush. Bush was great, but it wouldn't matter in the long run as Alex won with ease. Drew Brees hasn't had that wow game yet..but he does play Dallas next week and they just let Austin Davis go NUTS, so I expect that to be your big Brees performance. Marshawn Lynch continues to defy the doubters. Dude is still a beast with 88 rushing yards and 2 TD's. Wes Welker had a better than expected game as well and DeSean Jackson exploded against his former team with 117 receiving yards and a TD. Gronk added another TD for extra measure. Very impressive showing by Alex, and now with his whole team back to being 100% he'll be a formidable opponent going forward. He'll take on Albert next week, while Kenny takes on me with his season on the line.

Game MVP
Marshawn Lynch (Winter Is Here)

The Bad Robofies (2-1)         74.5
Arturo's Beans (2-1)                32

So...where do I start. Zach Schroeder.... Wait..what? Who? Zach played in our league for only one season..didn't make the playoffs and quietly bowed out the next year. So why am I bringing up a random ex-player? Simple..he did contribute to one thing..a record nonetheless. You see, Zach Schroeder was the former holder of one of the most notorious "records" in our league history. Least points scored in a single game. Zach's record was 39 points. Notice I said "WAS". That's right because in week 3 of the 2014 Season that record was shattered by none other than.....ME. Let me just say good win Dad, way to go. But now...ohhhhh now..let me express the way I feel about one of the most pathetic mind blowing frustrating shitty ass monkey fuck buffalo dick sucking performances I have ever been a witness too. 32 points......32 POINTS. NOT A TYPO. I SCORED 32 FUCKING POINTS IN A WEEK. 8 PLAYERS MANAGED TO SCORE 32 FUCKING POINTS...IN A WEEK. THAT'S 4 POINTS A PLAY. I BEAT ANDREW LUCK BY A POINT....A SINGLE POINT..MY TEAM BEAT ONE QB BY A MOTHERFUCKING POINT..NO SHIT..NO JOKE...NO LIE. MOHAMMAD FUCKING SANU HAD AN "AVERAGE" GAME WITH 10.5 POINTS AGAINST ME....STAFFORD..MCCOY..KEENAN ALLEN..RANDALL COBB..AND BRANDON MARSHALL HAD 11.5  COMBINED. SICKENING....BEYOND FUCKING SICKENING. Deplorable, dreadful, a disgrace, I can go on and on and on but why? It's not worth it..not for this pile of shit team. So in closing FUCK YOU MATTHEW STAFFORD..FUCK YOU KEENAN ALLEN...FUCK YOU LESEAN MCCOY...FUCK YOU BRANDON MARSHALL..FUCK YOU JOIQUE BELL..FUCK YOU TOO HARRY DOUGLAS..YOU SCORED A TD BUT TEAM EFFORT SO FUCK YOU ANYWAY..FUCK YOU TOO NILES PAUL..TWO FIRST NAME DUMB ASSHOLE....FUCK YOU RANDALL COBB..FUCK YOU CARLOS HYDE FOR JUST BEING ON MY BENCH..FUCK YOU JERRICK MCKENNON BECAUSE WELL YOU'RE JERRICK MCKENNON...FUCK BIG BEN...FUCK CHRIS JOHNSON..FUCK CHRIS JOHNSON AGAIN BECAUSE HE DESERVES IT...FUCK MIKE EVANS..AND FUCK VERNON DAVIS. IN CONCLUSION FUCK YOU TEAM for putting my name in the record books for ALLLL THE WRONG REASONS.

Rocket Man (2-1)        145.50
Next!!! (1-2)                  71.5

The crazy thing...even with 32 points..I wasn't the blowout of the week. That distinction belongs to Leland who faced his brother and got destroyed by 74. Still rather lose by 74 than score thirty fucking two points. Besides Mayra, Eugene is the other team that really stands out. He's a half a point a way from being undefeated. The funny thing about it..he does without three of high picks..Jordan Cameron, Shane Vereen, and Cam Newton (who he's never used..nor had to use). If those guys ever get back on track..he becomes even a more dangerous threat with depth. It started with Julio giant game (32.5 points..that's right had Eugene only played Julio Jones and benched his entire team I would've lost by half a point to one player) and he never relented going on a scoring barrage on Sunday and Monday. Only Markus Wheaton scored less than 10 while everyone else had at least 12. Victor Cruz finally showed up in a big way and Jeremy Maclin continues to be a value pick as he exploded again with 154 and a score. DeMarco Murray continues to be arguably to best back in football with 100 and a score, while even Lamar Miller was an excellent spot start with over 130 total yards. To top this scoring masterpiece off. Marty B added to TD's last night to put the finished touches on a big win against his brother. All in all just an amazing performance and a showcase on just how lethal Eugene's team can be. For Leland, Doug Martin screwed him over early and there was just no way he was going to be able to compete this week against his brother. Aaron Rodgers was pedestrian again for the 2nd time in 3 games and that's troubling. No one scored over 13 points for Leland. He had decent performances from Terrence West, Michael Floyd and Travis Kelce, but decent won't even  come close to cutting it against Eugene (against me it's a 30+ point blowout..go figure). Leland takes on Dad next week while Eugene takes on Mark.

Drew was the other undefeated team to fall this week, though he got it closer than I thought he would. Albert made a ballsy start after finding out Arian Foster was ruled out by going with Cleveland rookie backup RB Isaiah Crowell. It paid off with 55 and a score. Shoe in for Sneaky Surprise Play. Peyton was Peyton and solid games from Steve Smith and A.J. Green helped secure the victory. For Drew, Kelvin Benjamin was the only real standout with 21 points. Cutler was Ok, as was Julian Edelman but the rest of his team was just average to bad. Someone's gonna have to pick up the Peterson slack if Drew's going to get back on track...I just don't know who. It's cousin vs cousin next week as Drew takes on Matt, while Albert takes on Alex.

And Ryan was able to get on the board with a very impressive win this week against Mark. Eddie Lacy was disappointing again, but Rashad Jennings went OFF with a career high 176 rushing yards and a score. Pierre Garcon also finally clicked with a nice 138 yard 1 TD effort. Nick Foles was great with over 300 passing yards and 3 TD's and finally Alshon Jeffrey looked good with 8 catches for 105 yards. This is the team I expected to see, with the exception of Eddie Lacy, who I don't get why is sucking beyond belief. Greg Olsen also continues his solid season by getting another TD in his game as well. Ryan can definitely bounce back from the 0-2 start if his guys play like this and that was without Roddy White who will be back for week 4. For Mark..it makes last week's disappointment that much worse as now he falls to 1-2. Matt Ryan's 23 points wasn't sustainable as only Michael Crabtree stood out with 80 receiving yards and a score. Forte had another disappointing game and the only thing keeping him from being a total bust is his involvement in the receiving game. Mark also lost  Danny Woodhead for the season, losing even more depth. If Forte is going to struggle, it's gonna be hard to depend on the other running backs and receivers he has to pick up the slack. It only gets tougher as he takes on Eugene next THEN Mayra in Week 5..brutal. Ryan takes on Mayra to try end her winning streak.

Thursday Night Overview/Week 2 Awards

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
Yeah..last night was as ugly as ugly can get. What a brutal game by the Bucs against Atlanta. Just the worst football beyond belief and it almost took a couple teams in our league down. First of all for the good, Julio Jones was a MONSTER and Eugene is up big after 161 yards and  2 TDs. Jones was open all night long and had an amazing 2nd TD to cement his big 32.5 point game. Matt Ryan was also back to form with nearly 300 passing yards and 3 passing TD's before he left in the mid 3rd because the game was just way out of hand. Unfortunately for Ryan, Roddy White was a late scratch, which led me to pick up and spot start Harry Douglas. Douglas scored on the very first drive and things looked promising, however in the 2nd quarter Douglas suffered a foot injury and never came back. The 8 points are disappointing, but it could've been way worse and Douglas was my flex play anyway. Matt's lucky he got 9.5 points from Bobby Rainey considering he fumbled, briefly was benched, and the fumbled AGAIN. Garbage time saved the day there. Then there was the plight of Kenny with Vincent Jackson. For a nerve wrecking 3 quarters had 0 catches. Nothing. Things were looking super bleak. Thanks to a late TD though, Jackson salvaged his day with 8 points. The only bright spot is, Mike Glennon should boast his value going forward. So now onto the Week 2 Awards

Wane McGarity Stud Of The Week
Brandon Marshall (Arturo's Beans)

This was a tough choice as Jordy Nelson was OUTSTANDING as well. The tie breaker being though you can take away Jordy's 30.5 points and Matt actually would've still beaten Ryan. Brandon Marshall was supposed to be inactive in the Sunday Night Game, and not only did he play, he scored 3 TD's. Marshall was a big reason I was able to comeback from behind and win by half a point.

Michael Wiley Dud Of The Week
Matt Forte (Shock The Monkey)
Chicago Bears v San Francisco 49ers
When you only lose by 7 points, a dud game from your best player really stands out. Forte just never got going Sunday Night finishing with just 36 total yards. One of the main reasons Leland was able to pull of the major upset.

Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award
Bobby Rainey (Dr. Light's Robots)

Obviously this doesn't cover Rainey's horrible Week 3, but Matt was observant enough Sunday to see that Doug Martin would be out week 2 and he quickly put in Rainey for Trent Richardson. After losing both Jamaal Charles and RGIII to early game injuries, Rainey stepped up to the plate big time with 174 total yards. A big reason Matt still ended up beating Ryan despite the big injuries.

Tony Romo Bad Decision Award
Drew Plays Jake Locker over Jay Cutler
 Jay Cutler QB
Our first Bad Decision award, but honestly it was totally defensible. With rumors being that both Alshon Jeffrey and Brandon Marshall would be inactive in Sunday night's game against the 49ers, Drew felt he couldn't risk and went with a guy who fantasy experts salivated over because of the matchup against the Cowboys Defense, Jake Locker. Locker was a noon player, and Drew's hand was forced and Locker was terrible, throwing 2 picks and finishing with a mere 10 points. Marshall and Jeffrey ended up both playing and Cutler was great with 4 Passing TD's and 25 points. Luckily, Drew won despite the decision.

Week 3 Matchups and Predictions

I swear, once the season gets rolling it just zips by way too fast. It's already Week 3, and for 3 teams it's kind of "must win" now. Why you ask? Because I'm bored and have no life, I researched a very telling stat. Only 1 team has ever made the playoffs after starting 0-3 in our league history. It was Matt in year 1, but that was an 8 team league at the time so even that's a little skewed. In other words 0-3=BAD. Here are this week's matchups and predictions.

Arturo's Beans (2-0) vs
The Bad Robofies (1-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Series is tied 2-2
Last Matchup: Dad beat me 107-102 in Week 5 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
Arturo's Beans: Matthew Stafford (Packers) Randall Cobb (Lions) Brandon Marshall (Jets) Keenan Allen (Bills) LeSean McCoy (Redskins)

The Bad Robofies: Tom Brady (Raiders) Torrey Smith (Browns) Gio Bernard (Titans) Alfred Morris (Eagles) Jimmy Graham (Vikings)

Wild Cards
Arturo's Beans: Chris Johnson's struggles. Niles Paul at TE

The Bad Robofies: WR and Tom Brady Production

Predictions
Yahoo Says: I win 105-93
I Say: I win. I think it's gonna be harder than Yahoo suggests and Dad's running backs and Jimmy Graham scare the crap outta me, but overall I believe I have the better team. Dad's gotten next to nothing from his receiver core and Brady's been awful as well, although he has a much better matchup this week. I'm fairly confident I can get this win, but I'm not overlooking how good Dad's team in the least.

NEXT!!!!! (1-1) vs
Rocket Man (1-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Leland leads series 1-0
Last Matchup: Leland beat Eugene 66-44.5 in Week 8 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
NEXT!!!!: Aaron Rodgers (Lions) Doug Martin (Falcons) Michael Floyd (49ers)

Rocket Man: Julio Jones (Bucs) Jeremy Maclin (Redskins) DeMarco Murray (Rams) Shane Vereen (Raiders)

Wild Card
NEXT!!!: Floyd production with no Palmer. Justin Hunter and Brandin Cooks inconsistency. Doug Martin's health. Travis Kelce's playing time. West and Asiata RB's.

Rocket Man: Rollin with Dalton over Cam again. Victor Cruz slumping. Jordan Cameron active?

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Eugene wins 95-87
I Say: Eugene wins. This shouldn't be has horrific as last year's low scoring affair. Eugene's coming out the gate strong, and was a half a point from being undefeated. I think he wins because he has the most consistent team with so many question marks on the young players Leland has. Of course I said the same thing last week as well, and Leland beat Mark.

Baby Face Bybee (0-2) vs
Winter Is Here (0-2)

No Matchups Stats

Key Players
Baby Face Bybee: Tony Romo (Rams) Calvin Johnson (Packers) Demaryius Thomas (Seahawks) Vincent Jackson (Falcons) Frank Gore (Cardinals)

Winter Is Here: Drew Brees (Vikings) DeSean Jackson (Eagles) Wes Welker (Seahawks) Marshawn Lynch (Broncos) Rob Gronkowski (Raiders) Reggie Bush (Packers)

Wild Cards
Baby Face Bybee: Tony Romo's struggles. Knile Davis handle the workload? V-Jax inconsistency, Demaryius' tough matchup.

Winter is Here: Welker's availability. DeSean Jackson's health.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Kenny wins 103-90
I Say: Kenny wins. The score doesn't reflect points for Welker, but he should be reinstated and good to go. Still Kenny should be the favorite in a must win for both teams. One of these teams is going to start 0-3, I just don't see it being Kenny.

JTG's Warehouse (2-0) vs
Channel 4 News Team (1-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Albert leads series 5-2
Last Matchup: Albert Beat Drew 114-89 in Week 5 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
JTG's Warehouse: Jay Cutler (Jets) Andre Ellington (49ers) CJ Spiller (Chargers) Julius Thomas (Seahawks)

Channel 4 News Team: Peyton Manning (Seahawks) Percy Harvin (Broncos) Cordarrelle Patterson (Saints) Arian Foster (Giants)

Wild Cards
JTG's Warehouse: Spiller usage. Ellington's foot. Wide Receiver Production

Channel 4 News Team: Difficult matchup for Manning. No AJ Green. RB #2 production. Witten's struggles.

Predections
Yahoo Says: Albert wins 89-87
I Say: Albert wins. Both of these teams are hurting in the depth department. No AJ Green for Albert forces him to use both Steve Smith and Anquan Boldin, while Fred Jackson as the #2 is still a glaring weakness. Drew on the other hand loses a huge asset in Adrian Peterson, and though he still has the RB depth to help ease the pain, I think Albert has the slightly better team and edge this week.

Bigger Balls (2-0)  vs
Dr. Light's Robots (1-1)

Matchup Stats

All Time Record: Matt leads series 2-1
Last Matchup: Matt beat Mayra 97-75.5 in Week 11 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
Bigger Balls: Andrew Luck (Jaguars) Dez Bryant (Rams) Antonio Brown (Panthers) Le'Veon Bell (Panthers)

Dr. Light's Robots: Jordy Nelson (Lions) Andre Johnson (Giants)

Wild Cards
Bigger Balls: Who to play Colston/Thomas/Bradshaw/Sproles? Tough matchup for Brown and Bell. Arizona QB situation affecting Fitz

Dr. Light's Robots: No RGII/Jamaal Charles. Ton of wild card plays

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Matt wins 99-96
I Say: Mayra wins. Going against Yahoo here, and though Matt does have a chance at dethroning an undefeated team with Mayra's top players having tough matchups, I still thinking Matt's reliance on Donald Brown, Alex Smith, Zac Stacy and Larry Donnell just won't be enough to stop Mayra's momentum.

Shock The Monkey (1-1) vs
Hoosier Daddy (0-2)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Mark leads series 1-0
Last Matchup: Mark beat Ryan 101-50 in Week 5 of the 2013 season

Key Players
Shock The Monkey: Matt Ryan (Bucs) Michael Crabtree (Cardinals) Montee Ball (Seahawks) Matt Forte (Jets)

Hoosier Daddy: Alshon Jeffrey (Jets) Roddy White (Bucs) Pierre Garcon (Eagles) Eddie Lacy (Lions)

Wild Cards
Shock The Monkey: Mike Wallace continue to be good? Montee Ball tough matchup. Woodhead at flex

Hoosier Daddy: Jeffrey's health. Underperfomances of key players (Roddy, Garcon, Lacy).

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Ryan wins 96-95
I Say: Ryan wins. Ryan's biggest problems have been his guys just flat out haven't showed up. He's going to need that to change this week to avoid going 0-3. He has the talent to do it. Mark is coming off a very disappointing loss to Leland. This is very close, but just a slighter edge to Ryan, I think he stops being winless this week.

Week 2 Results: Man Down! Man Down!

What a CRAZY week of football Week 2 was. Never have I seen so many injuries to star players happen all at the same time. It felt like every second a new name would pop up on the injury report and we're not talking scrubs either. The day started with Jordan Cameron, Doug Martin, and Carson Palmer being all declared inactive, followed by reports that Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey would both not play in Sunday night's game against the 49ers. Although they ended up playing..players started dropping left and right. A.J. Green, RGIII, DeSean Jackson, Knowshon Moreno, Jamaal Charles, Ryan Mathews, Eric Decker, Vernon Davis..just some of the bigger names that teams lost throughout the day and night. It created a low week of scoring, where not 1 team hit 100 points. Ironically, the closest team, Matt's, did it without a QB (Griffin) and RB (Charles). Here's a look at the aftermath of one unpredictable Week 2.

Arturo's Beans (2-0)           97.5
Rocket Man (1-1)               97

HO-LY SHIT...that's all I can say. Early candidate for game of the year as I narrowly eeked out a half point win against what I think is one of the contenders this year in Eugene. It's well known my Monday Night luck usually SUCKS beyond belief and I've lost a ton of games by minimal points on Monday Night. This is the first that I can recall that I actually won. I felt going in that I was going to lose just because of the difficult matchups my guys had. I was right as Matthew Stafford and Joique Bell were pretty pedestrian against a solid Carolina defense, also Chris Johnson was a non-factor as a flex, and Mike Evans did nothing of note (Rueben Randle predictably scored on my bench of course). On top of such a shit start was the news that Brandon Marshall wasn't going to play Sunday Night which resulted me into inserting SANTONIO HOLMES into my lineup. Think about that....SANTONIO HOLMES. Just give me the big L already. On Eugene's side, he already had GREAT games by his keepers Julio Jones (88 and a score) and DeMarco Murray (what a BEAST..167 rushing yards and a TD..he just needs to stay healthy and he'll be a MONSTER all year). Andy Dalton was serviceable for him but Shane Vereen was very disappointing (It was Stevan Ridley's turn to be good I guess). Eugene was down to Martelleus Bennett and Jeremy Maclin with a big lead, while had the aformentions Mike Evans,Chris Johnson, Randall Cobb, Vernon Davis, Santonio Holmes, and LeSean McCoy still left. Despite the terrible CJ and Evans games, Randall Cobb had a great game with 2 TD's and a 2 pt conversion. This is where the real fun begins. Marshall (and Alshon Jeffrey) end up being active for tonight's game. Will they really play the whole game or be decoys. It doesn't matter..I've gotta trout out Marshall as a miracle play no matter what. Most of the 1st half was terrible..Vernon Davis barely did anything (he ended up getting hurt in the 4th) and Marshall was pretty much irrelevant..until near the end of the half when he made the most AMAZING catch ever..a one handed grab in the end zone. Just miraculous. Marty B had been held somewhat in check as well. Then Marshall would score AGAIN..and I felt momentum swinging to my side..which was quickly SQUASHED by a Marty B TD not too long after. Then when all things looked bleak..Marshall would score A THIRD TIME and I got the lead cut to 4.5 going in to Monday's McCoy vs Maclin showdown. What a thrilling game this was as both guys didn't do much of note until the 3rd when Shady FINALLY scored and gave me an 8.5 point lead. Smooooth sailing right? YEAH FUCKING RIGHT....With around 2 and half minutes left the Eagles scored and tied the game thanks to a TD pass to....JEREMY MACLIN..SON OF A BITCH...IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN. DAMN YOU MONDAY NIGHTS!!! I was only up half a point. There's NO WAY the Eagles can get the ball back, otherwise it's over cause Maclin will catch one. The Colts go 3 and out QUICK..worst case scenario. Luckily Maclin never touched the ball again and a game winning field goal sealed the deal. A half a point....good lord. I feel Eugene's pain. It's double worse since me and Eugene had the 2nd and 3rd highest points this week. He would've beating anyone else but Matt or me. Shit feeling. Brandon Marshall guts it out and is TREMENDOUS and basically won the game for me. What a emotional rollercoaster...and it's only been 2 weeks. Onto the blood feuds for both of us next week, as I take on my Dad, and Eugene takes on his brother Leland in Week 3.

Game MVP
Brandon Marshall (Arturo's Beans)
5 receptions, 48 receiving yards, 3 receiving TD's, 24.5 points (on injured ankle)

NEXT!!!! (1-1)                   78.5
Shock The Monkey (1-1)    71.5

This was VERY disappointing..as all signs pointed to this being an easy win for Mark who was going to be 2-0 for the 2nd straight year. As the old adage goes, that's why they don't play the games on paper. Despite no starting running backs (Doug Martin and Ben Tate were both hurt) and starting Dexter McCluster over Keenan Allen Leland STILL was able to win. Aaron Rodgers led the way after a slow start with almost 350 passing yards and 3 scores, while Terrence West filled in admirably with 68 yards and a score. Even Darren McFadden chipped in with a TD. Outside of that though..it was pretty brutal. His receivers were awful, only 9.5 points between Cooks, Michael Floyd, and Justin Hunter. There's going to be growing pains with such a young a receiving core and it showed here. Yet still..it surprisingly was enough to oust Mark. Matt Ryan and Matt Forte were AWFUL, which is rare, and though Eric Decker was good (scored a TD) he got hurt and left the game in the 2nd half and never returned. The Toby Gerhart  pick is officially a bust. Never liked that pick as Jacksonville is just a terrible offense. Gerhart had only 1 point. Crabtree and Wallace were both good with TD's a piece. Montee Ball hasn't lived up to the hype..he's been good but not 2nd round good. He had under 9 points but he'll pick it up. After all that, Mark needed 7.5 points from Dwayne Allen to win. He got a fat 0. Just an off game for Mark, who wasn't the only one this week who had that happen. He'll look to bounce back against Ryan, while Leland takes on his brother Eugene next week.

That's what Dad wanted to see. After a disappointing start to his season, Dad got GREAT performances from his top 3 picks Gio Bernard, Alfred Morris and Jimmy Graham to easily dispatch Alex for win #1. Seriously it was a 3 man effort as they combined for 80% of Dad's points. Gio was amazing with almost 170 total yards and a TD, Alfred Morris had 85 and 2 TD's, and Jimmy Graham had 118 and two TD's. Dad survived a zero from Knowshon Moreno who got injured early in his game (out 4-8 weeks with a dislocated elbow). Dad got little to nothing from his wide receivers and Tom Brady who once again looked very mediocre. For Alex, he admitted himself that he really botched his wide receiver drafting. Having Hakeem Nicks as a WR #3 is basically punting that position. Reggie Bush was terrible, Gronk wasn't needed, Drew Brees was average, Marshawn was okish, and DeSean Jackson got hurt. He'll need a healthy D-Jax and reinstated Wes Welker to help boast his team next week. Mark Ingram was great (over 100 total yards and a score) but HE got hurt as well and is expected to miss a month. Not a great debut so far for Alex. He'll take on Kenny in the battle of 0-2 teams, while Dad gets me next in a father-son showdown.

JTG's Warehouse (2-0)           83.5
Baby Face Bybee (0-2)           73

"If I lose to Drew without Adrian Peterson...." The text I got from Kenny, Friday, when news broke about Adrian Peterson's child abuse scandal and subsequent deactivation. Well guess what....IT HAPPENED. What a terrible disappointing effort from Kenny's guys as just like last year he falls to 0-2. Kenny has yet to get two dominating performances from his WR studs at the same time. DeMaryius was OK with a TD but not spectacular and Calvin was pretty much average and shut down as best as he can be by Carolina. Kenny's QB's have been terrible as neither Kaepernick or Tony Romo have shown anything to inspire any kind of confidence as fantasy starters. V-Jax also continues to disappoint and madden Kenny, while Ryan Mathews got hurt and will now miss about a month. Frank Gore had a huge TD run called back, but he ended up getting that score back. Despite all that Kenny still had a glimmer of hope down 4 with Reggie Wayne vs Drew's Zach Ertz. EPIC FAIL. Wayne did nothing of note and Drew ends up winning by 10.5. It's not like Drew's team was much better, but it got the job done without the services of AD. Really it was just a combination of solid yet unspectacular games from his whole team as everyone besides  Golden Tate and Kelvin Benjamin had 10 points or more. One decision that could've bit Drew was starting Jake Locker of Jay Cutler. The move is entirely defensible since it looked like both Marshall and Jeffrey wouldn't be playing and Locker had a great matchup against the Dallas Defense. Nope..Locker was terrible and Cutler put up 25 points. Luckily it wouldn't matter. Kenny will try to get his first win against Alex next week, while Drew takes on Albert as he tries to get his undefeated streak alive.

Game MVP

Channel 4 News Team (1-1)         71.5

Mayra is the final undefeated still left after Week 2 as she's able to put away Albert pretty easily in a low scoring affair. A.J. Green got hurt for Albert right away but Marques Colston put up a zero to even that up. Really only Dez Bryant really stood out (10 catches, 103 yards, and a score) and a good (not great) Andrew Luck game (3 Passing TD's but only 172 passing yards and a pick) sealed the deal to keep Mayra's record unblemished. For Albert he got his typical Peyton game (3 passing TD's) and another great Foster game (138 and a score as Foster continues to be a nice value pick) but little to nothing else. Percy Harvin scored but fumbled and no one else did anything of note. Pretty ugly game in a series of them this week. Mayra puts up her undefeated record against Matt while Albert takes on Drew next week and tries to end his undefeated streak.

Game MVP

The weirdest win I've ever seen in our league. So Matt loses RGIII and Jamaal Charles early to injuries (they combine for 3.5 points) and not only does Matt win but he scores the most points this week and wins blowout of the week. HUH?!?!! What should've been slim pickings for Ryan never materialized thanks to Jordy Nelson going flat out BONKERS (209 receiving yards and a TD for 30.5 points) and a very shrewd smart spot start as Matt took out Trent Richardson for Bobby Rainey who was great (174 total yards). Those two along with a good performance by Emmanuel Sanders and 3 other double digit scores (Larry Donnell in another great pickup for Matt for the injured Jordan Reed, Andre Johnson, and Zac Stacy) got him the big unexpected W. It's a bit of pyrrhic victory though as Matt's in serious danger without the services of RGIII and Jamaal Charles for what could be a long while. Ryan's guys just never got it going. Eddie Lacy was very disappointing yet again with only 43 rush yards, while Alshon Jeffrey played hurt and was ineffective for the most part. Greg Olsen and Rashad Jennings got 10 points a piece but Garcon and Roddy White combined for 8. Gotta do a lot better than that for your receiving core. Nick Foles was OK.. but not great. What looked like a championship caliber team is now staring down an 0-2 record with the possibility of going 0-3 if he can't beat Mark next week. I still am not counting Ryan out, but he's really gotta get the best out of his team next week becuase it's a huge game. Matt doesn't exactly have a great matchup either..he takes on Mayra and her undefeated squad next.

Thursday Night Overview/Week 1 Awards

Owen Daniels catches two touchdowns in win over Steelers
So this pretty much sums up last night. Owen Daniels scoring 2 TD's and it being totally irrelevant because for the most part that's what last night's game was in the fantasy world. There was a scare for Mayra, as it seemed like Antonio Brown would be out for the game with a concussion. He came back and didn't really do anything of note until the near end of the game where he racked up some garbage points. You take em any way you can. Le'Veon Bell wasn't the dominant beast he was in Week 1, but still managed a salvageable game thanks to his receiving stats. He narrowly missed his point projection. Mayra I guess should be content with her start, as it could've been worse had Brown not come back, but it is a little disappointing considering her opponent this week. There was two surprise spot starts as well as Ryan started Justin Forsett and Eugene went with Markus Wheaton over Jordan Cameron who's dealing with a shoulder injury. Unfortunately after allll that talk about Forsett stealing the starting job, Bernard Pierce got a ton of the work and if not for a late 40 yard run by Forsett (which he got tackled at the half yard line) he would've been a total bust play. Wheaton had a couple of nice reverses but didn't have much in receiving yards and only managed 7.5 points. I still think Eugene is fine and wins our matchup especially with the news that Brandon Marshall is a game time decision for me. Dad continues to be frustrated with how Torrey Smith is used and I don't blame him. Watching the game, Flacco RARELY even looks his way, and it seems like Steve Smith has become Flacco's favorite receiver target. Dad only getting 1.5 points from his top receiving is a big blow and a potential tide turner in his matchup against Alex. "Time for Pitta to get his 5 points". That's the negative text I got from Kenny earlier in the day. Kenny was pretty much spot on, Pitta finished with 4.5 points as he watched Owen Daniels outshine him. Pitta had a TD opportunity in the 4th but it was broken up. I still think Kenny's fine, especially with today's news about Adrian Peterson. He's definitely out this week and who knows how long after that. Tough blow for Drew.

So as is customary, it's time to dole out Week 1 awards. For the new team in our league, I had out up to 4 awards to the Week's best/worst players and decisions. As usual they are as follows.

Wane McGarity Stud Of The Week-Best player performance usually on the winning team

Michael Wiley Dud Of The Week-Given to the most disappointing player of the week.

Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award-Given to the team who makes a bold starting lineup decision and it pans out.

Tony Romo Bad Decision Award-Given to the team who makes a head scratching lineup move.

So without further ado...the Week 1 awards

Wane McGarity Stud Of The Week
Julius Thomas (JTG's Warehouse)

There were some excellent performances, including Matthew Stafford, Matt Ryan, Le'Veon Bell, and Calvin Johnson, but I'm gonna give this to Julius for his not 1, not 2, but 3 TD's Sunday Night against the Colts. He also added a 100+ receiving yards. Guess that 3rd rounder was worth it for Drew after all.

Michael Wiley Dud Of The Week
Jamaal Charles (Dr. Light's Robots)

Part of it was the game plan, but still 4 points combined rushing and receiving from a guy who's supposed to neck and neck with LeSean McCoy as the best fantasy football player in the game is beyond disappointing. A big reason why Matt lost pretty handily.

Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award
Drew goes Ertz over Ellington
Zach Ertz TE

Honorable mention goes to Eugene for having to spot start Andy Dalton for a injured Cam Newton. I give the nod to  Drew, only because Eugene really didn't have a choice, Newton was ruled out, while Andre Ellington went from a 4-6 week injury to a game time decision in like a day. Drew had a risky decision to make, take a chance that Ellington plays and is healthy enough to be a factor or start a second tight end who hasn't really proven himself much but has a lot of hype in Zach Ertz. Drew went with Ertz and it paid off. Ertz basically doubled Ellington's projected points and helped Drew pick up win #1.

There is no Tony Romo Bad Decision award as it's week 1 and basically no one really went out of the norm with their lineup decisions.

Week 2 Matchups and Predictions

Week 1 zipped by fast and now it's on to week 2. It's still too early to panic for those who lost week 1, but an 0-2 start will have some teams getting a little worried. Here are the Week 2 matchups.

Arturo's Beans (1-0)  vs
Rocket Man (1-0)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: I lead series 1-0
Last Matchup: I won 100-83.5 in Week 7 of the 2013 Season

Key Players

Arturo's Beans: Matthew Stafford (Panthers) Brandon Marshall (49ers) Randall Cobb (Jets) LeSean McCoy (Colts) Vernon Davis (Bears)

Rocket Man: Cam Newton (Lions) Julio Jones (Bengals) Jeremy Maclin (Colts) Shane Vereen (Vikings) DeMarco Murray (Titans)

Wild Cards

Arturo's Beans: Difficult matchups for Stafford, Joique Bell, and Brandon Marshall. WR #3 production. Chris Johnson reliable again?

Rocket Man: Cam Newton and Jordan Cameron's health. Victor Cruz rebound game.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Eugene wins 97-95
I Say: Eugene wins. I'm not picking against myself because of any kind superstition this week. I just think my matchups suck and Eugene has the better team this particular week. I have three guys with terrible matchups and a wild card in Mike Evans, plus relying on Chris Johnson to be consistent, just not feeling confident this week. I hope I'm wrong of course.

Shock The Monkey (1-0) vs
NEXT!!!! (0-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Leland leads series 1-0
Last Matchup: Leland won 86.5-73.5 in Week 9 of the 2013 Season

Key Players

Shock The Monkey: Matt Ryan (Bengals) Mike Wallace (Bills) Montee Ball (Chiefs) Matt Forte (49ers)

NEXT!!!: Aaron Rodgers (Jets) Keenan Allen (Seahawks) Michael Floyd (Giants)

Wild Cards
Shock The Monkey: Michael Crabtree's health. Possiblity of No Gerhart. Donnie Avery production

NEXT!!: RB injuries. Difficult matchup for Keenan Allen. Cooks repeat performance. Kelce's playing time. Justin Hunter great matchup.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Mark wins 90-88
I Say: Mark wins. It's already known Ben Tate is going to miss a couple of weeks at the very least but at least Leland has his handcuff to start for the time being. If Doug Martin misses though, Leland has no really viable backup on his bench and could be in trouble. I think Mark pulls this off and goes to 2-0 for the season.

The Bad Robofies (0-1) vs
Winter is Here (0-1)

No Matchup Stats

Key Players

The Bad Robofies: Tom Brady (Vikings) Torrey Smith (Bengals) Gio Bernard (Falcons) Alfred Morris (Jaguars) Jimmy Graham (Browns)

Winter is Here: Drew Brees (Browns) DeSean Jackson (Jaguars) Marshawn Lynch (Chargers) Reggie Bush (Panthers) Rob Gronkowski (Vikings)

Wild Cards

The Bad Robofies: Brady bounce back game? Production from Kendall Wright and Terrence Williams. Knowshon 1 game wonder?

Winter is Here: Bush difficult matchup. Colts receivers production. Ingram repeat performance.

Predictions
Yahoo says: Dad wins 97-92
I say: Dad wins. The battle of 0-1 teams, which means one team is guaranteed to be still be winless after week 2. It's funny that Dad has Brady and Alex has Gronk, while Dad has Graham and Alex has Brees. They'll all need each other to do good. I think this will be close, but I'll give the slight edge to Dad.

JTG's Warehouse (1-0) vs
Baby Face Bybee (0-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Kenny leads series 4-2
Last Matchup: Kenny beat Drew 131-99.5 in Week 3 of the 2013 Season

Key Players

JTG's Warehouse: Jay Cutler (49ers) Adrian Peterson (Patriots) Andre Ellington (Giants) Julius Thomas (Chiefs)

Baby Face Bybee: Colin Kaepernick (Bears) Calvin Johnson (Panthers) Demaryius Thomas (Chiefs) Vincent Jackson (Rams) Ryan Mathews (Seahawks) Frank Gore (Bears) Reggie Wayne (Eagles)

Wild Cards

JTG's Warehouse: Difficult matchup for Cutler. Andre Ellington 100%? WR consistency.

Baby Face Bybee: Semi Difficult matchup for Megatron. Kaep over Romo again. Difficult matchup for Ryan Mathews. Which V-Jax shows up?

Predictions

Yahoo Says: Kenny wins 101-94

I Say: Kenny wins. Another head to head matchup in the storied rivalry, I can't see Kenny losing two in a row with this team. I think he just has more players capable of huge games then Drew does. Kenny should extend his lead in this series to 5-2.

Channel 4 News Team (1-0) vs
Bigger Balls (1-0)

Matchup  Stats
All Time Record: Mayra leads series 2-1
Last Matchup: Mayra beat Albert 117-80.5 in Week 4 of the 2013 Season

Key Players
Channel 4 News Team: Peyton Manning (Chiefs) A.J. Green (Falcons) Percy Harvin (Chargers) Cordarrelle Patterson (Patriots) Arian Foster (Raiders)

Bigger Balls: Andrew Luck (Eagles) Dez Bryant (Titans) Antonio Brown (Ravens) Le'Veon Bell (Ravens) Larry Fitzgerald (Giants)

Wild Cards
Channel 4 News Team:  Fred Jackson start. Can Patterson and Harvin repeat week 1? Witten bounce back.

Bigger Balls: Fitzgerald Targets. Pierre Thomas usage.

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Albert wins 101-94
I Say: Albert wins, hard to pick against Mayra, but if last week was any indication, Albert's team has the chance to go off any week of the season. We'll see off the bat how Mayra's Steelers do on a short week, if they don't perform, it might be an easy week for Albert. Like Albert a lil more this week.

Dr. Light's Robots (0-1) vs
Hoosier Daddy (0-1)

Matchup Stats
All Time Record: Series tied 3-3
Last Matchup: Ryan Beat Matt 92-74.5 in Week 4 in the 2013

Key Players
Dr. Light's Robots:  Robert Griffin III (Jaguars) Jordy Nelson (Jets) Andre Johnson (Raiders) Emmanuel Sanders (Chiefs) Jamaal Charles (Broncos)

Hoosier Daddy: Nick Foles (Colts) Alshon Jeffrey (49ers) Roddy White (Bengals) Pierre Garcon (Jaguars) Eddie Lacy (Jets) Rashad Jennings (Cardinals)

Wild Cards

Dr. Light's Robots: New Tight End in Larry Donnell. Bounce back games from RGIII, Jamaal Charles, and Zac Stacy.

Hoosier Daddy: Difficult matchup and hamstring injury for Jeffrey. Lacy back on track. Jeremy Hill more work?

Predictions
Yahoo Says: Matt wins 98-93
I Say: Matt wins. I give Matt the slight edge here, though honestly it's pretty much a toss up to me. Both have question marks, just think with Jeffrey facing the 49ers and dealing with a hamstring injury, Matt's got a slight better roster this week.
