Year End Awards: Wane McGarity All Stud Team/Wane McGarity Stud Of The Year

The last awards given out are the most prestigious awards given out. The players who made the most impact in our league make the elusive All Stud Team. Also, the most impactful player of the season will be named the Stud Of The Year. So without further ado....the 2015 Wane McGarity Bowl All Stud Team

QB
Cam Newton (BigBadBob)
QB Rank: 1
Overall Rank: 1
2nd Selection to All Stud Team
3544 Passing Yards, 33 Passing TD's, 10 INT's, 626 Rushing Yards, 8 Rushing TD's, 4 Fumbles Lost, 394.36 Fantasy Points
Cam Newton #1 of the Carolina Panthers rolls out on a pass play during the second half against the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome on December 27, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Cam's season was amazing both as passer and rusher. We haven't seen Cam on this squad since his rookie year in 2011 and here he is after defying odds and having a very successful season this year. It's one of those "what if" things for Dad, because had Dad not lost two key players (Thomas Rawls and V Jax) in his playoff match against Mark, who knows what would've happened. Cam definitely made Dad a legit contender.

WR
Antonio Brown (Bigger Balls)
WR Rank: 1
Overall Rank: 9
2nd Selection to All Stud Team
123 Receptions, 1647 Receiving Yards, 9 Receiving TD's, 1 Return TD, 2 2 PT Conversions, 1 Fumble Lost, 291 Fantasy Points
Wide receiver Antonio Brown #84 of the Pittsburgh Steelers leaps as he tries to avoid cornerbacks Kayvon Webster (partially hidden) and Bradley Roby #29 of the Denver Broncos during a game at Heinz Field on December 20, 2015 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Steelers defeated the Broncos 34-27.
Mayra had a rough season but it definitely wasn't because of this guy. Brown turned yet another spectacular season, making his 2nd straight All Stud Team. The guy is as automatic as can get, and that's with Ben Roethlisberger getting hurt a couple times and having guys like Michael Vick and Landry Jones throwing the ball to him. If Le'Veon Bell can stay healthy, there's no doubt Mayra can bounce back next season with Brown and Bell in tow.

WR
Julio Jones (Rocket Man)
WR Rank: 2
Overall Rank: 10
1st Selection to All Stud Team
127 Receptions, 1722 Receiving Yards, 8 Receiving TD's, 1 Fumble Lost, 287.70 Fantasy Points
Julio Jones #11 of the Atlanta Falcons makes a catch for a touchdown over Luke Kuechly #59 of the Carolina Panthers during the second half at the Georgia Dome on December 27, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Eugene entered the season knowing how bad his draft was going to be, after trading a lot of his high picks away the season before. In order to have a semblance of a chance to compete he knew he had to hit on his keeper picks. He decided on Julio Jones and Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was good, not the elite Rodgers we all expect, but Julio was GREAT. Having a consistent high scorer like Jones was perfect in leading Eugene's rag tag team to a 3rd place finish. Ironically, Eugene didn't use Julio nor Aaron Rodgers in the most important game in his season (The Rodgers decision was a good call, Julio though went off despite playing the Panthers, it wouldn't matter in the long run, but proof that you start Julio no matter what the matchup). If Matt Ryan didn't suck so bad, Julio could've easily piled up TD's and been the #1 ranked receiver. Still though, he had enough yards and catches to make him the #2 receiver. I'd say it's a safe bet Julio Jones will once again be a Eugene's squad next year.

WR
DeAndre Hopkins (Kumamon Express)
WR Rank: 6
Overall Rank: 20
1st Selection To All Stud Team
104 Receptions, 1432 Receiving Yards, 11 Receiving TD's, 1 2PT conversion, 263.20 Fantasy Points
DeAndre Hopkins #10 of the Houston Texans makes a reception against Coty Sensabaugh #24 of the Tennessee Titans during the first half at Nissan Stadium on December 27, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Hands down the best and most valuable player on my team. I whiffed on so many picks this season, it's amazing I even made the playoffs (I paid for it at the end though). Hopkins was THE reason I started out 7-0. He wasn't even my first 3rd round pick, I took Jordan Matthews over him! This guy makes so many spectacular plays and the most amazing thing is that he does it despite the lack of quality QB play he's had. Ryan Mallett, Brian Hoyer, T.J. Yates, and Brandon Weeden....not exactly the cream of the crop. Yet he still had over 1400 yards receiving and 11 TD's. Imagine if he got a real QB? He was the only bright spot on my team and pending anything weird happening, he'll definitely be back on my squad next year.

RB
Adrian Peterson (Sons Of The Harpy)
RB Rank: 2
Overall Rank: 16
2nd Selection to All Stud Team
1418 Rushing Yards, 10 Rushing TD's, 29 Receptions, 221 Receiving Yards, 3 Fumble Lost, 232.40 Fantasy Points
Adrian Peterson #28 of the Minnesota Vikings carries the ball against the New York Giants during the first quarter of the game on December 27, 2015 at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
All the worries about Peterson not having it anymore after a year off were for nothing as Peterson came back and left off where had before, as a super elite RB. Peterson's going to lead the league in rushing yards, and he had an excellent comeback season and proved he was the worth keeping for Drew. He ends up as the 2nd ranked RB and now Drew will have a question weather to keep him yet again and see if Peterson can defy the odds all over again.

RB
Todd Gurley (No Soup For You)
RB Rank: 5
Overall Rank: 29
1st Selection To All Stud Team
1108 Rushing Yards, 10 Rushing TD's, 21 Receptions, 188 Receiving Yards, 1 Fumble Lost, 198.10 Fantasy Points
St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley scores on a five-yard touchdown run during third quarter action on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.
I know besides Peterson, 3 other running backs finished better than Gurley, but keep in mind his basically was inactive for 3 games (his first official game he just eased in) and I feel the Champion has to have at least one representative on this team and Gurley looks to be the cornerstone of his team. This is his third team he's been named to so I've said everything I can about the guy. He definitely looks legit, and we'll see if this is the first of many All Stud Teams to come.
TE
Rob Gronkowski (Channel 4 News Team)
TE Rank: 1
Overall Rank: 23
3rd Selection to All Stud Team
70 Receptions, 1158 Receiving Yards, 11 Receiving TD's, 216.80 Fantasy Points
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski makes a leaping catch, picking up the first down and beating the Jets' Calvin Pryor during fourth quarter action. The New England Patriots played the New York Jets in a regular season NFL game at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015.
He's just too dominant to not make this squad. He now ties Calvin Johnson with most times on this team at 3. Gronk is still by far the best tight end in the league and he relatively stayed healthy missing only 1 game. It's gonna be tough to knock Gronk off this spot barring injury. Definitely worth keeper consideration for Albert.
Flex
Devonta Freeman (RB) (Hoosier Daddy)
RB Rank: 1
Overall Rank: 8
1st Selection to All Stud Team
980 Rushing Yards, 11 Rushing TD's, 71 Receptions, 560 Receiving Yards, 2 Receiving TD's, 1 Fumble Lost, 265.5 Fantasy Points
Devonta Freeman #24 of the Atlanta Falcons runs the ball during the second half against the Carolina Panthers at the Georgia Dome on December 27, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.
I can't ignore what Freeman did, finishing as the #1 overall running back. He might not have been a playoff team, but he more than proved his worth as a 9th round draft pick. Ryan will definitely have an edge next season keeping him there.
Wane McGarity Stud Of The Year
Cam Newton (BigBadBob)
Cam Newton #1 of the Carolina Panthers in action against the New York Giants on December 20, 2015 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Panthers defeated the Giants 38-35.
The first ever two time Stud Of The Year, Cam's season was so dominant and great that I had to give him this nod. Hands down the best fantasy player this season.
And that'll officially wrap up the 2015 season! All the awards have been given out, and now we wait until I reopen the league in late June probably. Thanks for playing and see ya in 2016!
