The Wayne McGarrity Stud of the Week-Tony Romo (RuggedRaymontHarris)
Tony Romo wasn't even the highest scoring QB, much less player this week, and this could've gone many ways. Miles Austin, Fred Jackson, Vincent Jackson, Jeremy Maclin all were very pivotal to their fantasy teams winning, but if Tony Romo doesn't come back for me, Vincent Jackson's 29 points would've been all for nothing. Romo had 9 points before leaving for injury and finished with 21. I don't get those 11 points after he came back, I lose to Mike Posey by 1 point. Matt could've benched both running backs and still won, while Miles already had enough production to safely win, but Tony Romo's day was done it looked like. Yet there he was leading an inspirational comeback that not only helped my real life team, but my fake team as well. It's not only solely about the numbers to be the stud of the week, it's also the impact of the performance and because of Tony Romo, I'm 1-1, and not 2-0.
Michael Wiley Dud of the Week-Antonio Gates (Salt & Vinegar Chips)
I don't even have game photos of him to chose from. He did nothing. Not one catch for one yard. He had nothing and in a shootout type game against the Patriots, that's beyond disappointing. It was a given that Gates would find the end zone at least once possibly even more, yet he didn't catch a single ball. Mike lost by 10 points and it was thought that Gates could surpass that easily. Definitely one of the biggest reasons Mike lost in week 2.
Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award-Fred Jackson (Dr. Wily's Robots)
It takes a lot of guts to sit a fantasy stud like Frank Gore, especially for Fred Jackson. Don't get me wrong, Fred Jackson has had his moments, but there's a reason why he goes several rounds later than Gore. Matt though, took a gamble and sat Gore for Jackson and it paid off BIG TIME. Matt netted a big time game, getting 25 fantasy points from Fred Jackson. Definitely hands down winner of the Drew Bennett Sneaky Surprise Award.
Tony Romo Bad Decision Award-Albert and the Inactives Part II
Sigh....he didn't learn. One week after playing an inactive Arian Foster, Albert once again played an inactive player, this time Dez Bryant. Had he played his bench receiver Julio Jones, he would've tied my dad. Yeah it's not a W, but 0-1-1 looks better than 0-2.
